More Cameron Duplicity and Hypocrisy!

Cameron and Osborne say they are cracking down on  "aggressive tax avoidance"In his March budget, George Osborne announced measures designed to claw back tax revenues leaking from Treasury coffers.
"I regard tax evasion – and, indeed, aggressive tax avoidance – as morally repugnant," The Guardian
he declared as he outlined initiatives on stamp duty avoidance, offshore pensions and VAT-free websites."

Last week the Prime Minister, David Cameron launched an astonishing personal tirade when he publicly attacked comedian Jimmy Carr when it became known that he was using a controversial avoidance structure involving a Jersey trust company. The prime minister said it was "morally wrong". Carr used a scheme known as K2. HM Revenue and Customs has a duty not to discuss the tax affairs of individuals in public, but apparently this doesn't extend to the Prime Minister, who showed blatant hypocrisy when criticised Carr, while ignoring much the same behaviour from his friend and Tory supporter, Gary Barlow of Take That.

In view of his strong remarks and personal attack on Jimmy Carr for using that tax avoidance scheme K2, I would be very interested to learn what Mr Cameron's thoughts are about  the scheme, known as SHIPS 2 and its association with David Royds; and Rushmore and its association with George Robinson etc?

Ships 2 is a tax avoidance scheme which involves transactions through Jersey and other tax havens, generating a tax loss that 70 wealthy UK residents were able to offset against income and capital gains tax bills.
It was marketed by the Mayfair firm Matrix Tax Solutions, a now defunct arm of the financial conglomerate Matrix Group.
The group's co-founder and chairman, David Royds, has given £110,000 in donations to the Conservative party since 2008.

Rushmore; Records at Companies House reveal that George Robinson, in the 12 months leading up until 21 January 2010 – a director of a company called Romangate. The Times reported last week that Romangate, which had more than 500 directors, including Carr and Robinson, was part of a tax avoidance strategy called Rushmore. The scheme was closed down in 2009, before its members could claim any tax relief, following an investigation by HMRC

Rushmore is a tax avoidance strategy; George Robinson a hedge fund manager has donated more than £250,000 to the Tories.

This is what is published on the Conservative website:

"Unlike Labour, we are not funded by the Trade Unions. Instead, we rely on the generosity of individual Conservative supporters and members. With a broad network of donors who are committed to giving a regular amount each month, we can plan strategy more effectively. So joining Party Patrons - or any of our donor clubs - is a great way to support the Party and become involved at the heart of the Party.........."
Does money talk? What do you get for your donations to the Conservative party?

  • £5,000 Buys you membership in The Front Bench Club
  • £10,000 Buys you membership of  The Renaissance Forum
  • £25,000 Gets you into the Tory Treasurers' Group
  • £50,000 allows you to look at Cameron while he eats lunch at The Leader's Group
  • Fifty City donors paid over £50,000 in the 12-month period covered by our study – which would gain them a face-to-face meeting with David Cameron as possible members of the Conservative party’s Leader’s Group.
  • The hedge fund industry, the largest contributor across all business sectors, donated £1.38m (11.4%) to Central Office. Three individuals (Michael Farmer, Lord Stanley Fink and Andrew Law) contributed a combined total of £636,300.
  • Financiers were the second-biggest group of Conservative Party donors from all business sectors, accounting for £1.3m. The top financier donor was David Rowland, who contributed £1.16m and is linked to Banque Havilland and hedge fund Blackfish Capital Management. Private equity financiers, such as Alexander Knaster and Edmund Truell, gave £565,400.
  • Outside the City, the sector that donated the most to the Conservatives was industry, including manufacturing and defence. This sector contributed £913,411 (7.5%). The biggest donation from this sector was £300,000 and came from JCB Research. The Bureau Investigates

Not forgetting if you have a spare £250,000 it will buy you access to Cameron in his private quarters in Downing St and if you are lucky you may even get to have dinner with Cameron and his wife and if you can push your donation up a little higher it may even buy you input into Government policy making!

It beggars belief that the Tories when in trouble always attempt to use union donations to try and discredit the Labour party, not to mention duplicitous and wholly hypocritical and totally misleading. Why don't the Tories care to mention that the Financiers in the City of London provided more than 50% of the funding for the Tories? And Hedge funds, financiers and private equity firms contributed more than a quarter of all donations to the Conservative party, prompting claims that the party is in thrall to the banks?

The Tories try to make mischief about the unions funding Labour, however, what they deliberately fail to mention that union funding in the Labour party is provided by millions of very small subscriptions from ordinary people and donations are declared, open, transparent and their accounts are available for scrutiny at any time. Unlike the funding loophole the Tories use! The Tories use a very handy "private club loophole", like the Portcullis Club and the Midlands Industrial Club (MIC)  club can have any amount of members who all donate hundreds of thousands of pounds to the Conservatives, yet none of the members need be named because they are members of a private club!

Cowardice of Clueless Cameron

Yesterday David Cameron was heckled about poverty by an Olympic volunteer. It must have taken great  courage for the young man to get up and try to say his piece, but he was overwhelmed by Cameron who used other volunteers to drown him out. It was a pity that the other volunteers didn't first think about what the protester was trying to say before cheering, as he was trying to speak not just for them, but for all the young people that Cameron is currently abusing in an abhorrent cold blooded abuse of power.

As usual Cameron's presence at such an event was probably more to do with wanting to be associated with good publicity after all the bad he has attracted lately, however, scratch the surface, how good is this? Nothing against volunteers, in the true sense of the word, but how many of these so-called volunteers are actually true volunteers?

Why didn't Cameron s allow the young lad to speak? What was he so scared of that he had to abuse his position and drown him out? The protester said:

"Shame on you,  David Cameron you are crippling the poor in London. Shame on you."

I hope one of the national newspapers picks this story up and reports on it, because what that person was trying to say is extremely important for the used and abused and the young of this country, not just London.

David Cameron said this was "not about politics" he said this was "about Britain and about volunteering". Of course it's about politics, Cameron was there to try and shore up his plummeting political reputation, he was there leaching off the young who are supposedly "volunteering" to give their time for nothing.

I wonder how many of these so called "volunteers" have been provided by the Tory life peer, Baroness Debbie Scott's company "Tomorrows People" whom she is Chief Executive of?

"Tomorrow’s People’s chairman, David Stewart, spent much of his career at accountancy firm Deloittes where he was a former board member.  Deloittes recently teamed up with Ingeus to become one of the largest welfare to work companies in the UK and prime contractors for the Government’s flagship ‘Work Programme’ scheme.
[Welfare to work is the brain child of Tory minister Iain Duncan Smith and is responsible for forcing people to work full-time for nothing under the threat of having their £65 per week job seekers allowance benefit sanctioned (stopped), many of these schemes give only the barest of expenses, leaving so called work experience placements struggling to get to work and eat and pay their board/keep out of £65 per week.]
Tomorrow’s People was established by booze giant Grand Metropolitan PLC – now Diageo – way back in 1984 with the aim of becoming an‘expert intermediary between government, businesses and job-seekers.’  Whilst the charity has remained technically independent, it has still derived much of it’s funds from Diageo and still retains a  former Diageo director on it’s board.
The Chief Executive of tax dodging bastards Diag is Paul Walsh, who recently paid a considerable sum for dinner at Chequers with David Cameron, something the Tories apparently attempted to hush up."

How many of these Games Makers "volunteers" have been supplied by Close Care UK, the same company that supplied the stewards for the "Queen's Diamond Jubilee" river pageant? The company that has Molly Prince as a director? Molly Prince with the criminal past.  Molly Prince has also had five companies struck off for irregular accounting, yet was allowed to provide stewards fo the Jubilee and has been awarded a contract for the Olympic GamesThe company that lied to its recruits telling them they would be paid for their work and then when they were in London  some 100's miles away from home, they were told they would not be paid and if they did not do the work they would lose their JSA. The company that forced young girls into danger by forcing them to sleep rough under a bridge in the freezing cold torrential rain and provided them with NO facilities the next day to wash or use the toilet, the same company who forced young girls to change their clothes in the open in full view of passing buses/traffic? The same company that gave these stewards 1 sandwich, 1 pkt crisps and a couple of bottles of water in the morning for breakfast and told them not to eat it then because they would be getting nothing else all day! The same company that forced these stewards to provide their own tents and then took them to a muddy field at the end of an 18 hour shift.

The same company that has been reported to the Home Secretary, Theresa May by former deputy PM John Prescott, read his letter HERE.

Is this company still being used? What is the result of the so called investigation called By Theresa May? Who is actually doing the investigating, is it the SIA or Theresa May? In fact, what is going on here,m what exactly is the current state of play and who is providing all these so called volunteers for the Olympics, what training will they have? How many hours will they work? Where will they sleep? Who will feed them?

Cameron said  "this wasn't about politics" but it is Cameron from his position of great privilege, who has never had to want for anything in his entire life who recently said he wants to remove Housing Benefit from those aged 25 and under. How is that non political?
This will not only cause these youngsters great hardship and force them to choose between heating their homes or eating, it will have the effect of making them homeless and forcing them onto the streets to sleep rough. Cameron believes that these people can simply return home to their parents to live, he hasn't got a clue, not an inkling, he honestly believes that all young people have parents they can run home to in times of trouble and that these parents (if they exist) will readily open their doors and accept their youngsters back into their homes, patting their heads in an affectionate way and telling them to put their dirty laundry in the basket for the wash and "mater (or the servant) will do it ASAP. For the love of God we have a PM who it hasn't crossed his mind that many of these people may not even have parents, or if they do they may be running from abuse, or a whole manner of situations. Or the parents may not have the room, or the means to accept their off-spring back even if they wanted to. Only someone in Cameron's privileged position could even think that this would stand a chance of working!

So come on David Cameron, if this is not about politics, then please tell us if ANY of the so-called Games maker "volunteers" are being supplied by Close Care UK or Tomorrows People?

Come out from behind those Games maker volunteers skirts where you hid because you couldn't take a bit of heckling, you over privliged insensitive coward.

Are you a volunteer "Games Maker"? If you are tell us which company is employing you to steward the games. gracie.samuels@hushmail.com

Clegg Throws Wobbler Over Lords Reform!

So lets get this straight, Nick Clegg and his Liberal Democrat MPs have had the chance to vote against (among other things) :

  • The Government's hated NHS Health and Social care Reforms Bill
  • The Trebling of university tuition fees
  • The cutting of the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
  • The Welfare Reforms
  • Reduction of Housing Benefit
  • The cutting of funding to Sure Start Centres
  • The cutting of working families Tax Credits
  • The reduction in funding for Sure start and nursery places
  • The attacks on the disabled and terminally ill by Atos
Yet they didn't, they voted with the government they are a part of and helped pass laws that will have a serious detrimental effect on people and their quality of life and their children's lives, and the lives of so many just starting out. None of this appeared to matter very much to Clegg and his MPs, oh as usual they stomped about a bit issued a few threats for journalists and TV  cameras, said they would not vote them through about half hour before actually voting them through with the Toy government.

Yet when it comes to Lords reform, you can't move for Nick Clegg appearing on his white charger (his high horse) to tell us all how this is so important and that, this was in all three parties manifestos so it must be decided.

It doesn't seem to resonate with Clegg that the destruction, fragmentation and privatisation of the NHS was NOT in the manifestos of either the Tory party or his party, but this is exactly what is happening (thanks to him). Also I seem to remember that it was in the Lib Dem manifesto to abolish tuition fees, but that didn't seem to bother him because he voted with the government to treble them anyway. So why the hell should we worry about what was in the Liberal Democrat manifesto now just because it suits him [Clegg]?

He is part of a party that awards a £1 million bonus to the fatcat boss of Atos for drawing up plans to attack disabled people and remove as many of them as possible from the benefit (never mind if they are genuine or not) and that apparently doesn't bother him one iota, but for goodness sake don't tell Clegg he can't have his Lords reform because that will make him really kick off BIG TIME!

Never let it be said that the Liberal Democrat leader and Deputy PM and general dogs body to the Tory party doesn't have his priorities right!

Wise Up To Cameron!

David Cameron is planning another attack, on those on benefits and he chose the *Blue* Water shopping Centre to launch it from and chose to wear a*blue* tie and stand against a *blue* backdrop. See the full script of his speech HERE. He is obviously playing to the right of his party but he is also telling the country what life would be like if he won a majority Tory government.

But why is David Cameron doing this? Why is he announcing this now? Is there something going on within this coalition government that we are not aware of? This is the second time in a week Cameron has made such an announcement, one where he did not tell Clegg his DPM what the Education Secretary, Michael Gove was going to announce and now this? It's hard to imagine that this is going to please Clegg.

He is displaying a total lack of empathy and understanding for those less fortunate than he, this time he is concentrating on those aged 25 and under and those existing on benefits for one reason or another. People under 25 could be stripped of their housing benefit payments in a new wave of welfare reforms which David Cameron is hoping to introduce. Yesterday it was policy ideas and today as usual we are told something different and that he is starting a national debate. Strange that an announcement you would expect to see around the time of a general election came hot on the heels of another of the gaffe prone PM's a tax faux pas, where he accused comedian Jimmy Carr of being "morally repugnant" for avoiding paying proper tax and completely failing to mention that his own family are a family of tax avoiders from his late father to his father in-law. Also the majority of City bankers (the people that caused the recessions) are friends of Cameron and donate to the Tory party. It makes one wonder if he has made this latest announcement in order to divert attention away from the bad press he was receiving, either way whatever he is doing to attack those so much less fortunate than himself  and use them as pawns in his political games is what he would term as "morally repugnant".

Poverty Line

It appears that the most serious ramifications of this latest proposals once again will fall on the shoulders of those that have already shouldered the biggest attacks on their standards of living, the low paid, single parents, low earning couples and especially women and children and young adults. These groups have already suffered benefit cuts, in the form of working family tax credits, tax credits, funding for nursery and Sure Start places and on top of that, they have to find money for electricity bills that have risen sharply by at least 14% and gas bills that have soared by at least 19% and again on top of this they are struggling with the chancellors regressive VAT rise to 20% and the high cost of food.

Cameron would spend more down the pub on Sunday lunch than these people have to manage on for two weeks.

Since David Cameron  came to power:
  • 500,000 British children have been plunged into poverty
  • 13 MILLION people currently live below the poverty line in the UK and that this number is escalating
  • 1 in 5 people are borrowing money for food because of the growing cost of living.
  • Everyone in the country is approximately 14% more in debt under the Tories than the previous Labour government
  • Each week sees a new food bank open in the UK, there are now 190 food banks- 88 alone were launched in 2011
  • Food bank recipients are NOT usually homeless, they are ordinary families who have hit crisis through redundancy and or benefit delays and sanctions.
  • Last year the Trussell Trust's UK food bank network fed over 60,000 people experiencing food poverty and this year they predict they will feed over 100,000 people
How can Cameron say this is the something for nothing culture? MOST OF THE PEOPLE HE WANTS TO REMOVE BENEFITS FROM ARE PEOPLE IN WORK

Unemployment

How do these families and individuals that Cameron wants to kick off of benefits find work that actually pays a decent living in order to support themselves and their families?

Unemployment stands at 2.65 million the last time unemployment was this high was when we had a Tory government where official figures place it at 3 million and in real terms unemployment was said to be over 4 million.

How will a person aged 25 or under support themselves if they have no family and no job?

Cameron and his government are helping their corporate buddies to sack people easier. Cameron is helping big business reduce their payrolls by allowing them to offer low wages and by providing Labour free of charge, if the claimant refuses to accept then they are threatened with loss of benefit.

If Cameron wants to reduce the welfare bill then he should force companies to pay a decent living wage, thereby reducing the need for the state to step in and subsidise low pay and rich multinational payrolls.

Since coming to power and scrapping the various work programmes, youth unemployment has risen considerably. According to the government's own statistics there are 1.01 million young people aged 16-24 unemployed, in February - April 2012, that is a rise of 118,400 (or 13%) on the same quarter in 2011. A slight fall of 29,000 was recorded, however, this is down to the sharp increase in part time positions and people dropping off of the unemployment register because of government bullying and intimidation, forcing them to work full-time for nothing for Tory doning corporations. Shocking but true!

So there is already a jobs shortage and youngsters cannot get a job, not because they do not want to but because there are no jobs available. David Cameron's answer to this is not to help, but to threaten to take away the housing benefit of these young people. He wants to make them homeless as well as jobless and see them starving on the streets.

Before long we will have whole cities of cardboard boxes springing up, full of people with no homes, no jobs and no hope for the future, the last time it was this bad with an ever increasing presence of rough sleepers on streets, we had a Tory government.

Personal Attack On the Poor!

In calling for child benefit to be scrapped for people who cannot afford to have children is treading  a very thin and dangerous line if he is going to start dictating to people who do not have much money that they should not have children, what next? Compulsory sterilisation?

Why doesn't Cameron chase and harass people who take every benefit going in this country in terms of business and banking laws etc and then avoid paying their proper tax? Is it because the majority of them are all Tory supporters who donate to the Tory party? These people currently owe the Treasury over £120 billion per year in unpaid tax avoidance.
Why doesn't Cameron tell his chancellor to collect the £6 billion due in unpaid tax from Vodafone? Instead of letting them off paying it?

Something For Nothing?

Cameron said he wants to stop the "something for nothing culture", and wants to stop Housing Benefit for 25s and under,  has he forgotten that he himself owes this country £22,000 when he avoided paying capital gains tax when he "maxed out" his second home expenses? The Tory leader took out a £350,000 taxpayer-funded mortgage and then paid off a £75,000 loan soon afterwards.
Cameron has continually singles out those on HB, but their benefit is paid to Tory land lords, we the taxpayer were forced to pay Cameron's mortgage for him and he gets to own a nice big million pound house out of it.

David Cameron was once also forced to pay back nearly £947, this includes the £680 he had already said he would repay for maintenance and repairs to his property.
Cameron is said to want to welcome back into the cabinet Liberal democrat David Laws who was forced to resign his cabinet seat when it came to light that he had defrauded the taxpayer out of £44,000 in the shape of payments to his partner which he knew he should not be making, He was found guilty of serious wrongdoing, yet was not referred to the police like other MPs and his punishment was 7 days suspension from the House of Commons and ordered to pay back the money. Mr Laws is a multi millionaire who has recently been calling for tax cuts for high earners.
If you or I or someone in receipt benefit had done anything like this we would have been prosecuted and
probably ended up in prison. However, Cameron looks set to reward laws with a job in his government!
Climate of Fear!

The British Prime Minister is behaving in the most appalling arrogant and reckless way, he is deliberately creating a climate of fear, prejudice, jealousy and resentment in order to pass his draconian laws; this he does this every single time he feels under pressure. He attacks easy targets and bullies the most vulnerable and those who cannot fight back, like the disabled and women and children.
Cameron has been under pressure from the extreme right of his party and his ratings and popularity is plummeting, so he has engineered this attack to try and seize back the political initiative and he doesn't mind who he hurts in the process, whether it is hard working immigrants or those existing on benefits. He makes it all sound so plausible as he plays to the lowest possible human common denominator. Cameron is deliberately stoking the fires of prejudice and resentment and we saw last August in the summer riots of 2011, exactly what this kind of thing can produce. Cameron is creating a climate of fear, he is arrogant, bullying and deceitful, he thinks absolutely nothing of telling blatant lies ["there will be no top down reorganisation of the NHS"] this is typical of a narcissistic personality disorder, you needn't take my word for it see how many symptoms below you can match with our Prime Minister!

Narcissistic?

I wrote a piece on this blog last week entitled "Narcissism Thy Name Is David Cameron". If there was ever proof needed that I was right, then right on cue Cameron has provided it himself!
Narcissistic personality disorder is a pervasive disorder characterized by a lack of empathy, and an exaggerated sense of self-importance.
  • A constant need for attention, affirmation and praise.
  • A belief that he or she is unique or "special" and should only associate with other people of the same status.
  • Persistent fantasies about attaining success and power.
  • Exploiting other people for personal gain.
  • A sense of entitlement and expectation of special treatment.
  • A preoccupation with power or success.
  • Feeling envious of others, or believing that others are envious of him or her.
  • A lack of empathy for others.
People with narcissistic personality disorder are typically described as arrogant, conceited, self-centered and haughty. Because they imagine themselves as superior to others, they often insist on possessing items that reflect a successful lifestyle. Despite this exaggerated self-image, they are reliant on constant praise and attention to reinforce their self-esteem. As a result, those with narcissistic personality disorder are usually very sensitive to criticism, which is often viewed as a personal attack. Look at the way he behaved when he was caught out deliberately misleading and panicking the people over a non existent fuel shortage, he forced Francis Maude to make that insane announcement, about hording fuel in jerry cans then made him shoulder the blame for it when it all went wrong!

His narcissistic behaviour can be seen weekly in Prime Minister Questions in the house of Commons, where Cameron displays the whole gambit of symptoms of narcissistic behaviour. Arrogance, selfishness, lying, haughty, nasty vicious personal attacks and bullying. He totally believes that anyone who dares to have the "audacity" to question him should be put in their place and he doesn't care what he says in order to do it, from telling outrageous lies, to deliberately misleading, or intentionally misrepresenting information, or just plain nasty and unnecessary put downs and insults. His attacks are not even limited to the opposition, he often attacks people in his own party, he told one female MP she was "frustrated" and just the other week he totally embarrassed one of  his own MPs with an humiliating put down. Recently he mocked a Labour MP for being working class with a northern accent and in another highly personal attack he once accused the leader of the opposition, Ed Miliband, of "knifing his brother in the back"! Cameron also told a veteran Labour MP who has been MP serving in parliament longer than Cameron has actually been alive, that he should "collect his pension" on a previous occasion  he called that same MP a dinosaur!, For just a few other occasions where he has used his arrogance and bigotry in the House see Here.  Althought to list them all would require a detailed blog entry of its own!

"We Are All In It Together"?

David Cameron  is sitting pretty in a tax payer funded house and at his country residence of Chequers, besides that he has a million pound property in London and also has a million pound property in his Oxfordshire constituency. His children will not have to go cold and hungry with the threat of being taken into care because their parent/parents have been made homeless by loss of Housing Benefit!

How ironical that Cameron chooses to launch this attack on people who are already struggling, when Prince William the future King of this country turns 30 and inherits £10 million from his late mother and is given a multi million pound house from his grandmother the Queen and is buying his in-laws a mansion worth £5 million and all this simply for being an accident of birth? I know the prince has at least done something useful, but then so have nurses doctors, teachers, police, midwives, dinner ladies, refuse collectors etc and yet this government is trying to take away the pensions they are entitled to which they have paid into!

Today Cameron deliberately and cynically set out to show everyone how Tory he is and that he is a Conservative and "Compassionate Conservatism" has finally been exposed as a sham, an act designed to fool the electorate and win votes and nothing else. Although a lot of people fell for it, fortunately not enough did to wing him the majority and the power he craved and thinks he is entitled to.
We now see who Cameron really is, he is a true Tory who blames the poor, the disabled, the unemployed for their poverty and he detests the welfare state.

Cameron set out to deliberately smear hard up families, most of which would give their right arm to get into a job that paid a fraction of the salaries Cameron and his mates enjoy. He descended into the mire of gutter politics when he chose to label people as "feckless" and "scroungers" in an attempt to turn people against them, in order to try and gain a majority government at the next election. How does he honestly think this makes him and his elite appear when they haven't worked for their advantages and privileges in life, they have simply acquired them as a passage of birth?
Low wages and poverty in the 7th richest country in the world are a scandal and an embarrassment; especially when he conveniently forgets that those on benefits the majority of which are actually in work rather than e unemployed.
Since Cameron has come to power his government is responsible for over 500,000 public sector workers losing their jobs and then he has the audacity to turn around and blame for not working, many of which simply cannot find work!

He believes that forcing ordinary people to pay for the greed of his friends the bankers and City financiers and all those that caused the global recession etc will show how Tory he is and get him elected with a majority at the next election - if it does then God help us all, because Cameron will have succeeded in turning this country into a cold callous place where vulnerable people are ignored and  homeless people are  "an inconvenience and have to be stepped over on the way out of the opera".

This seems to fit nicely with Cameron now lecturing people on how many children they can have and threatening to take away financial support leaving these children exposed to poverty, it is utterly reprehensible, abhorrent.
Face it we really do have a narcissist for a Prime Minister and people should remember that narcissists NEVER know where to draw the line on their arrogant self serving cruelty and one day it will be them caught in the Prime Minister's cross-sight!

People MUST "Wise Up To Cameron" and stop him playing games with peoples lives for his own political aspirations.

Senior Hospital Boss Leaving for KPMG Job Is Malcolm Lowe-Lauri

Now there's a surprise! The chief executive of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust has quit.
Malcolm Lowe-Lauri is leaving after four years in the job.
Yet another senior executive abandons the NHS to join the private sector where all the big bucks will be made as the NHS gets carved up and sold off.   Mr Lowe-Lauri, knowing fully well how the NHS will be affected in the coming months and years obviously needed to get out quickly take his "monetary entitlements" from the taxpayer and get into the private sector fast, where he will be in line for more taxpayer funded payments (even if indirectly),  probably to ensure he gets his "golden hellos" and "golden goodbyes" and "bonuses" and "solid gold pensions".
When he left he said:
"Naturally, some people will want to speculate about my plans."At this stage I'm unable to go into detail but I will confirm them in due course."

"You bet we would want to speculate Malcolm you got that right!"
Especially since Malcolm Lowe-Lauri, is one and the same Malcolm Lowe-Lauri of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust's Chief Executive, who emailed staff in June saying they might not be paid in July 2011.
So where is he going? Answer: KPMG. (No wonder he kept that quiet!)
What is KPMG? KPMG in the UK is a leading provider of professional services, which include audit, tax, and advisory.
One of the services that KPMG provides is  Managing Regulatory and Reputation Risk   and Public Sector Risk Consulting Browse the A-Z list of services that KPMG provide HERE
In January 2011 a KPMG-led consortium won a contract to support the first wave of health services in London that will be commissioned by GPs.The Big Four firm said that it's "Partnership for Commissioning" [PCP] consortium -- comprising the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC), Healthskills, Primary Care Commissioning (PCC), United Health UK and Morgan Cole -- had won the contract to provide GPs with a range of business and finance support.
In the sweeping reforms of the NHS being introduced by the Tory-led coalition government, GPs will take over responsibility for commissioning healthcare from Primary Care Trusts.

And just to prove that the Tory saying of: "we're all in this together" is true; well for those with their snouts in the trough of privatisation and the Tory world of banking, hedge funds, venture capitalism, City financiers  it is anyway  (you know all those that dropped the UK economy AND the global economy right in it ). Not forgetting either, that private health care companies also donate to the Tory party, companies like Care UK and John Nash and his wife Caroline who as well as donating £100,000 to the Tory party ALSO donated £22,000 to the now Health Secretary's office during the 2010 general election when Andrew Lansley was still in opposition, it should be no surprise to learn that;

KMPG is also a donor to the Conservative party!

KPMG has donated over £500,000 in cash and services to the Tory party since 2005. Among other donations are almost £400,000 worth of non-cash services from Deloitte and more than £500,000 from PWC. Grant Thornton has made a non-cash donation of £15,000 over the same period.

In order to get all these Tory doning companies a piece of the sumptuous "NHS carvery", first Cameron, Osborne and Clegg had to get rid of the Audit Commission, which they did and this made way for these companies to benefit from taking NHS funding OUT of the NHS and placing it into the bank accounts of these Tory doning companies and shareholders - just like those of us who have campaigned to "Keep Our NHS Public" have stated many, many times.

Let's be fair and not forget all the lobbying companies like the infamous McKinsey's revolving door because they are "all in it together too"!

Now see, they really are all in it together and they are taking us all for mugs!

I have included this piece below which those with a few minutes to spare may find interesting, (it comes from a previous write up on this blog)

McKinsey and Company

There have been recent revelations about McKinsey and Company (not real news to those who read this blog, we exposed much of this months ago). However, I think we need to learn much more about exactly how much money to date has been earned out of the NHS by McKinsey, and how many NHS contracts have been awarded to McKinsey's clients and how many of these companies donate financially to the Conservative party. In the interests of transparency and good governance, this information must be exposed, however, as McKinsey is a private consultancy company, UK law has no precedence to force McKinsey to reveal information about its clients, even if it is in the public interest, and McKinsey & Co refuse point blank to be open about who their clients are and what they do and what their interest is in the British NHS. Considering McKinsey's reluctance, is it appropriate that this country be kept in the dark about the dealings of private health care companies in the country's treasured health service?

During the debate for the "Publication of the government's strategic NHS Risk Register in the House of Commons on February 22 2012, Andrew Lansley,  the Health Secretary,  made a point of saying that he had not met with McKinsey.  I found this an extraordinary admission! Not least because if true, it beggars belief that that Lansley is trying to say he has not met with any of the companies that are fighting to be in powerful positions for providing essential services for the carve up of the £100 BILLION NHS budget.

Has Andrew Lansley not met with David Bennett head of  Monitor who is going to be taking such a pivotal role supposedly  overseeing regulation of the private sector involvement in the NHS?  That neither he nor the Prime Minister know anyone passing through the 'revolving door' of employment between the Government and McKinsey? Why is this government so intent on keeping the public in the dark and making deliberately misleading statements?

Monitor their roll is to authorise and regulate NHS foundation trusts and identify actual and potential financial and non-financial problems. Monitor features heavily in Lansley's controversial Health and Social Care Reforms Bil

David Bennett - Monitor , a former partner of the global US consultancy McKinsey for 20 years.  While at McKinsy, Mr Bennett produced a report which urged the purchase of off-the-shelf software from major commercial companies or paid them to adapt of one of their systems for the Blair government. This is the failed NHS National Programme for  IT project,  (NPfit). Note that this is the very programme which David Cameron and Andrew Lansley like to blame on the  Labour government and  the very programme which was actually sold to Tony Blair by a McKinsey team at a meeting in February 2002. The team chief was David Bennett, who is now the head of Monitor. Politicians are politicians and probably not IT experts, in fairness what would the majority of them know about IT systems? How easy was it for companies like McKinsey to leach money out of the British taxpayer for projects like this? It also begs the question;" if the present government were so affronted by this failed IT contract of the Labour government years, then why are they hiring David Bennett and why are they heavily involved with McKinsey now"?  Does Andrew Lansley still maintain he has had no connections at all with McKinsey?

  • McKinsey & Company paid for NHS regulator staff to go to lavish events
  • Many Health and Social Care Bill proposals drawn up by the McKinsey & company
  • Document shows it has used access to Government to help form policy and then share that information share information with other clients
  • McKinsey also worked closely with previous Tory government on disastrous Railtrack privatisation under John Major
Dr Nicolaus Henke McKinsey Director met with David Cameron, Prime MinisterDavid Willetts  Secretary of State for Science and Universities to discuss science issues  in June 2011. Mr Henke is also a member of a No 10 ‘kitchen cabinet’ which advises the Prime Minister on health policy!

Paul Bate former McKinsey Director and the former adviser to Tony Blair, Mr Bate was appointed by David Cameron to run the "kitchen cabinet" in March 201. There is a ‘revolving door’ between McKinsey and the health service means that there are numerous former employees of McKinsey already embedded in jobs which will be critical if the Health and Social Care Reforms Bill is enacted.

Adrian Masters  Director of Strategy Monitor -  was previously Director of the Health Team in the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit. Before that his career included spells with McKinsey, IBM and Price Waterhouse. Has accepted hospitality from Mckinsey's.

Helen Whately - Former Conservative parliamentary candidate has shrugged off any suggestion of a conflict of interest, after it emerged she works for the same consultants helping draw up plans which could see the A+E or maternity unit at Kingston Hospital removed.
Her website states she works as a management consultant specialising in healthcare, mainly in the NHS but does not mention her employer McKinsey

The Tory government's plans for the NHS (and welfare, education and policing) are basically all about outsourcing. By outsourcing as many  NHS and social care services as possible, the government will hope to reduce its expenditure on the NHS and social care. This is the actual ethos of the Conservative party, they have always wanted "small government" and they have always wanted to rid themselves of the NHS which they have previously described as a "millstone", in effect and by their own admission, the Tories want "small government".
Small government to the Tories means that they can absolve themselves from the responsibility of providing NHS, social and welfare care, which is why there was so much consternation about a clause in the government's Health and Social Care Bill which will allow the Health Secretary to stop being responsible for providing healthcare to the public. The Tories aim is to privatise all our public services. This will almost certainly result in a fragmented health and welfare services, police and education will follow. This means that the private sector will be providing all our services, they will not be doing this for philanthropic reasons, they will be doing this with the sole intention of making a profit. It means they will be given a set amount of money by the government to run services and providing they can run those services for less money then they will pocket the profits. This will mean a cut in the standard and quality of care it will mean fewer services offered, the profit motive to cut jobs, wage levels, staff conditions or the quality of services will become all encompassing. These private companies are out to make profit, it is why they are in existence, they are not in existence to provide health education or policing for nothing, at the end of the day, taxpayers money will be taken out of our public services and end up in the pockets and bank accounts of the very people that caused the global recession. Many private health companies also have their fingers in Hedge fund pies, and venture capitalism etc. Anyone who doubts what I am saying read  John Nash here, or Emma Harrison here.

Yes it's really true, companies like KPMG,  McKinsey, Deloitte, PWC and our Tory government and their lackeys really are all in it together"

So Who's Lying This Time Cameron or Clegg?

Someone is not telling the truth in Number 10 Downing Street, so who is it?

Downing Street has contradicted Nick Clegg by confirming that David Cameron did know about the education secretary's plans to scrap GCSEs, before they were leaked.

Either David Cameron the Prime Minister did not know about Gove's intention to scrap Margaret Thatcher's GCSE system and is just saying he did, in which case David Cameron is a liar. Or Nick Clegg the Deputy PM, did not know that Cameron knew in which case this confirms that he is a blithering idiot, or Cameron did know and chose to keep Nick Clegg in the dark about such an important policy - which is it?

What the public are entitled to is a competent government which keeps them informed with competent, well thought out, well grounded policy proposals, the public should not have to put up with this shambolic government that appears not to know its backside from its elbow!

Whatever is going on behind the scenes in Downing St, all this briefing, and counter briefing, leaking and lying goes to show that there is a much, much deeper schism between the Tories and the Liberal Democrats than is being shown. I believe this coalition government is on its last legs, the only thing that stops it from collapsing completely is that Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats have a taste for power and chauffeur driven limousines and they know that if and when they walk away from this government this will be their very last taste of power. They seem to have forgotten they were elected to serve the people; their constituents. They were not elected to serve themselves and keep themselves in government at the expense of the lives and quality of lives of the people they were elected to represent.

David Cameron is proving to be a total disastrous Prime Minister, he is gaffe prone and incompetent, but more than this, he is a pathological lying narcissist, who is not only a clear embarrassment to this country, he is also a serious security risk and a serious danger, how long before he puts his foot in it big time and attracts some serious retribution? Diplomacy? Statesmanlike? Cameron doesn't know the meaning of the words.

What else can one expect from a man who goes boozing lunch times and returns home leaving his 8 year old daughter down the pub, totally exposed to all the dangers that could have befallen the daughter of a prime minister? It makes me go cold just thinking about the danger that child was placed in.

Has Nick Clegg Lost The Plot?

The country is in the grips of a double dip recession, which "friends of the Tory party" ensure us is just  "technical". (One wonders if they would be saying this if we still had a Labour government?)  The UK's economy is on its knees.

The Tories aided and abetted by the Liberal Democrats have forced the biggest reform of the NHS though against the majority will of the people, which will lead to NHS privatisation and hospitals for the poor which will only offer the most basic of treatments. NHS waiting times will increase (already started). Many patients with more than one need like the disabled, elderly or chronically sick, will find themselves without a GP. People will be forced to buy expensive health care and even if they can afford that, it will not cover them for everything.

Michael Gove the Education Secretary is intent on taking this country's education back to the two tier system of the 1950's - 60s and 70's, where able children were denied taking 'O'-levels, instead forced to take CSEs and job adverts always advertised for applicants educated to 'O'level standard, hardly ever CSE.  This is quite apart from the fact that Gove has allowed "free" schools to take the place of fee paying schools with the taxpayer picking up the tab for well off parents to educate their children privately.

It appears not to matter that the health secretary, Andrew Lansley is allowing vendors with their junk food machines to enter schools

Unemployment is bumping along the bottom showing absolutely no signs of picking up, there was a miserly fall of 51,000 last week mainly entirely due to the fact that people are being forced to work part time jobs because there are no full time positions. The private sector is only making part time jobs and it is these statistics the government is using to try and tell us all the private sector is making jobs faster than the government is shedding full time jobs. In truth *BOTH* the private and the public sector (and all taxpayers) are being forced to bankroll the payrolls of multinational corporations like McDonalds, Tesco's etc., many of whom donate privately to the Conservative party, in return for getting free labour or cheap labour from the government.

The claimant count for benefits (including unemployment benefit) has risen sharply. (How then in real terms can true unemployment be falling?)

The welfare reforms are rendering disabled people terrified in their own homes in fear of what this government that Nick Clegg is part of, will do to them next by taking their livelihoods, their cars and their wheelchairs away and forcing them to work for nothing in fear of losing their benefits, this alarmingly also applies to those people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness considered to have longer than 6 months to live.

This government that Nick Clegg and his band of idiot Tory brown noser MPs  belong to and back on a daily basis and who are treating the electorate with utter contempt and in an alarming ever growing number of cases ( see Jubilee slaves)  are treating people like some kind of "indentured bondservants", being hawked to Tory supporting corporations in return for votes, support and Tory party donations.

Virtually every single policy this government try to bring out lands up in a crumpled heap having crashed head on into the first available brick wall.

The government's budgets are a complete joke a panel of 4th formers could probably do better.

The Conservative government is beset with allegations of corruption eg: Peter Cruddas and "£250,000 cash for access to Cameron" and "cash for access to policy  making".  Cash for access to lunches with Cameron charged at up £100,000 which were being held in the Commons until the Parliamentary standards Commissioner ordered the Tories to stop and all the rest of it (see the remainder of this site, plenty of details included)

Cameron the British prime Minister has taken to making personal attacks on people over tax payments (or lack of them), while completely omitting to mention that his own family, friends and Tory donors all partake in a little tax avoidance. He attacks Jimmy Carr, while leaving his old mate and Tory supporter Gary Barlow out of it, yet Barlow has been doing much the same. Cameron did not personally attack Barlow, instead he gave him an OBE.

In just two years this government appear to be not only the most corrupt, but the most sleaziest in living memory of this country and David Cameron has proved himself to be the most incompetent lying PM ever.

The entire government is a farcical joke made up of the most deceitful egregious lying hypocritical Gobs on sticks.
All of this (and so, so, so much more) and what is bothering Nick Clegg the most? House of Lords Reform! You can't make it up really can you?

It is estimated that the cost of House of Lords reforms will be around £500 million, add to this the £100 million that nick Clegg has already spent on his AV referendum . £600 million could help the victims of domestic violence who are losing centres directly because of government cuts, or it could keep many Sure Start centres affected by government cuts open too. I have to ask, just how many more of Nick Clegg's vanity projects can this country afford?

I don't think that Nick Clegg is losing the plot, I think he has already lost it  - Long Ago! (Probably at the meeting well BEFORE the May 2010 election), when he pledged the support of the Liberal Democrat party to this bunch of right win lying fascist Tories, that we now have for a government.

Democracy? What Democracy?

"Carrgate" & Cameron - Is This The Way A British Prime Minister Should Behave?

"Oops I Did It Again!"

I'm not going to have a pop at Jimmy Carr, I am going to thank him, yes thank him, for doing what the Tory supporting press should have done 2 years ago *Exposing* the hypocritical, duplicitous lying slug we have for a prime minister, leading the most morally corrupt government I have ever known and that is including Thatcher's morally bereft ethics, so that is really going some!

How come it is OK for David Cameron, the British Prime Minister to personally attack and single out one person in the press and try to turn the whole of the UK media upon this one single person, for doing nothing more or nothing less than probably his entire cabinet are doing? Not forgetting the "friends of the Tory party" and the big Tory donors, the hedge funds, the City financiers, the venture capitalists, the bankers, the health care companies, Tory supporting celebrities like Barlow from Take That etc? (And all the undisclosed names yet to be revealed) What about the lobbyists too? All of these do exactly the same as Carr has done, yet Cameron, in a bid to take the attention away from his latest faux pas, thought he spotted a good wheeze to gain him some cheap political points and so personally attacked Jimmy Carr, in a disgraceful and undignified way.

Judgement? What Judgement?

I say this, Carr may have done something morally (if not legally) wrong, but the speed in which he admitted it, put his hand up to it, took immediate steps to rectify it and then did not shy away from the cameras, just took his medicine, is something he can be proud of and it is something that Cameron can learn from. In view of the way Carr has reacted to his own wrongdoing and what he himself describes as a "terrible error of judgement", I wonder if Cameron can explain to us why Jeremy Hunt is still in his position?  If only Cameron had just a fraction of Carr's humility, if he did, Jeremy Hunt the Minister for Murdoch Culture Secretary would NOT be in his position today.

Can Cameron give any cogent and rational explanation why he thinks it was OK to give Andy Coulson a "second chance" for reasons which he (Cameron) knew all about before he hired him, and yet, he obviously believes it is somehow OK to try and destroy a man and his career by launching an unseemly  "unstatesmanlike" personal attack on Carr in the press? Without even giving the man grace to react and explain himself first? Is this the way we expect the British Prime Minister (any British PM) to behave? Cameron doesn't see people; he sees political footballs to be used as and when required. People are not people to Cameron; they are commodities and working class people who vote for this charlatan, this hypocritical habitual lying narcissist need to have their bumps felt. While he is stealing their vote, he is also planning on how best he can abolish and privatise the NHS,  attack disabled people and keep them in fear of their own government, reduce workers wages,  abolish their workers rights, take their human rights, take their full time employment hopes and replace them with part time poorly paid work and all for the benefit of his big Tory donors, the multinational company directors, the Tory hedge funds, the bankers, etc.' to force us to pay for the greed of the bankers and all those that caused this problem and who all employ the same tax loopholes as Carr previously did. Absolute rank hypocrisy, yet working class people willingly give this lying scam monger their vote? Wake-up please, before it is too late!

"Carrgate" is sadly just the latest in a long line monumental hypocrisy from a PM with zero judgement. I keep saying it, the reason why Cameron is behaving this way is because he thinks he is right, he really believes he is infallible, he is a narcissist and a megalomaniac who is drunk on his own power and not only is this highly embarrassing internationally for this country; I truly believe the ordinary folk of this country, their livelihoods and their quality of life and their children's and grandchildren's futures are being put at grave risk. I spotted this in this PM before he came to power and his symptoms are steadily worsening, those with balls in the Tory party (Lib Dems need not apply), if they truly do believe in our country, need to do something about Cameron and they need to do it pretty damned quick.

Isn't it about time the editors in the Tory press also grew a spine and began actually exposing Cameron for the charlatan and absolute danger to this country he actually is? What on earth are they waiting for?
