Poor George Osborne, last Wednesday he delivered his 2014 Autumn Statement to parliament, well I say that, but 99% was leaked in the week preceding the statement, the only thing that was not leaked was what the sycophants at the Sun, Times, Daily Mail and Telegraph kept on referring to as his rabbit out of the hat - 'stamp duty' and the 'little matter' of where his axe was going to fall in the form of vicious cuts to pay for it all.
We are told that Mr Osborne is a little upset because the BBC has been taking him to task over his Autumn Statement bonanza give away, never mind that he has been allowed to get away with 'reannouncing' reannouncements that have already been re-announced several times, or the fact that not once did Osborne allude to where all the billions was coming from to pay for his pre election trickery and blatant attempt to bribe the taxpayers with their own money. The British media, (75% Tory supporting) has allowed this chancellor one of the easiest rides imaginable, not once has any of the usual suspect newspapers quizzed Osborne about where money is going to come from, yet apparently this is not enough for George, he has to moan about the BBC not staying 'on message'.
This Tory chancellor and Tory prime minister have stuffed the BBC full of Conservative cronies from the top to the bottom, so I understand that Osborne is miffed, he obviously thought that the BBC was going to carry on in same biased way they have been carrying on for the past four and a half years, so it must have come as a shock to him when they suddenly decided to do their job and present the truth - for once!
Hopefully this is the start of the BBC regaining their objectivity, but I am not holding my breath. For the past two weeks there has been a campaign running on Twitter under the hashtag #CameronMustGo, it has been trending for two weeks and has been used over a million times. It has made the news and broadcast media in other countries, because the number if tweets it has attracted is unprecedented in twitter terms, yet the BBC have refused to include this in any of their news programmes, apparently, many thousands of people who feel so disenfranchised by the prime minister David Cameron taking to twitter to air their views over a million times is not news! One wonders what is then? Especially as the BBC thought Ed Miliband eating a bacon sandwich a little awkwardly was enough to make their flagship news programmes for a few days.
Two days have passed since Osborne got to his feet in the House of Commons and still the broadcast media and the Tory supporting press have not exposed the most mendacious propaganda that has been allowed to pass for the Chancellor's Autumn Statement in the history of the House of Commons.
