Bankers Bonuses and Food Parcels in Conservative Britain

Tory Britain

British Government
Corrupt Liars!
The contrast could not be more stark, on one level in Britain we have bankers, the people who caused all the country's problems through pure greed, awarding themselves millions of pounds in bonuses on top of their telephone number salaries and on the other level, there are people depending on receiving food parcels so they can feed their families.  Hidden Hunger
These are the families losing their jobs and having their benefits and services cut to pay for the bankers greed and their bonuses. The Tory led government of Britain is literally robbing from the poor to give to their friends the rich bankers, and it is a total and utter disgrace.

One of the saddest things that I saw just prior to Christmas was someone getting all her treasured gold jewelry together so she could sell it at a ridiculous price in order to try and buy her children some gifts for Christmas.
What a contrast on her and her family from last Christmas when both her and her husband were working. Both were public sector workers, both lost their jobs and have been unable to find any other work, despite applying for a great many jobs between them. They spent all their savings paying their mortgage and bills, if they do not get jobs this year the strong possibility is they will lose their house. What help will they receive from this government? When it is directly this Tory led government's fault they are in this predicament in the first place, this government took their jobs away from them, now they have to claim benefits for the first time in their lives.

This Conservative led government did not tell voters what its intentions were and how they were going to decimate the lives of so many hard working people without so much as an apology, instead they lied their way into power and have not stopped lying ever since.

Hey but everything is OK just as long as their Tory mate bankers get their big salaries.

Is this what people voted Tory for? It will not be too long before what this government is doing for ideological reasons affects you, your children, your families, your friends and neighbours.

Did anyone bargain on this as well as our NHS being privatised?

More and more revelations are coming out, about the arrogance, callousness and greed of the bankers, bailed out by taxpayers - who had no say in the matter - and still helping themselves to fat bonuses. They live in a different universe to the rest of us, and we are an irrelevance to them...except as an exploitable resource. We are not human beings to them, we are cattle.

The problem is that people have been conditioned into a)looking out for number one, b)thinking that these people are too powerful to stand up to, and we are helpless against them, c)taking out their frustrations on other vulnerable people who are more easily accessible to them, such as 'immigrants', and d)as long as they own their own home, are financially secure, and the cutbacks don't affect them, the Tories are the party for them, capitalism is working for them, thank you very much, and they don't care. They're too deluded to realise that the Tories hold them in as much contempt, as they do the rest of us; those of us who do not have telephone-number bank balances, and are daily making fortunes in derivatives.

You have it in a nutshell Anon.
All Cameron has done since coming to power is cause friction and ill feeling between ordinary people. This is all callously calculated in order to carry out their brutal assault on public sector workers and those unfortunate enough to claim welfare.
Cameron, Osborne and Clegg always planned on doing this, they now use the coalition to hide behind, but as you say people are now at long last beginning to wake up.

Anon, I work in a central government office and you would not believe how near you and Gracie are to the truth. It used to be a pleasure to come to work, now it is just awful. I have worked here for 10 years and have never seen morale so low, which is causing friction, just terrible.
