David Cameron Reported to Ofcom for Telling Lies On TV

With this prime minister, it seems that telling blatant lies is second nature, he does it in the House of Commons, he does it in his various speeches and now he is even doing it in his party political broadcasts.
Whereby the Speaker of the House, John Bercow seems content to allow Cameron get away with deliberately misleading the public and nearly all the press and broadcast media allow him to get away with lying and misleading in his speeches, when David Cameron lied in party political broadcast last week he may have finally crossed the line and may be forced to retract what he claimed.

Here is Rachel Reeves Letter in Full

Andrew Dilnot CBE
Chair, UK Statistics Authority

24 January 2013
Dear Andrew
I am sure you will agree that it is vital that public debate is informed by accurate use of statistics. However, in a Party Political Broadcast by the Conservative Party last night, the Prime Minister said:
“We are now halfway through the coalition’s time in government and in two and a half years we have achieved a lot but I know people don’t just want to hear from me, they want to know the facts… So though this government has had to make some difficult decisions, we are making progress. We are paying down Britain’s debts.”As you will be aware, figures from the Office for National Statistics published this week show that the national debt is not being paid down, but is actually rising. Since this government came to office, public sector net debt has risen from £811.3 billion (55.3 per cent of GDP) in the second quarter of 2010, to £1,111.4 billion at the end of December 2012 (70.7 per cent of GDP).
The Office for Budget Responsibility has also forecast that public sector net debt will continue to rise and the government’s target to get it falling by 2015-16 will not be met. This is not the first time government Ministers have made similar claims about the national debt. However, last night’s Party Political Broadcast is the first occasion I am aware of when the Prime Minister has made such a claim in a scripted broadcast. This suggests that the Conservative Party may be attempting to deliberately mislead the public about these statistics and the government’s record.I would be grateful if you could bring some clarity to the situation and advise on how we can ensure that in the future debate on the national debt is accurate and based on the facts.
Yours sincerely,
Rachel Reeves MP

Not only has Rachel Reeves the Shadow Chief secretary to the Treasury written to Andrew Dilnot the Chair of the UK Statistics Authority, but a complaint has also been registered with Ofcom by a member of the public.
If the Speaker will not do anything in the House to curtail the prime minister from telling lies, then others have to take their own steps.

David Cameron's Pyrrhic Victory!

I'm all for renegotiating in the EU and getting the best possible deal for Britain and I also believe that the EU should be cutting back and that the UK should negotiate for a cut in payments  to the EU (which incidentally David Cameron failed to do) but we could have done this without putting British business and British jobs at risk. I would also like to see exactly what terms Cameron will be renegotiating, because he said absolutely zero about this in his speech - why? If he is making a speech about the possible exit of the UK from the EU and it all depends on what terms he can renegotiate then why did he not have list of points up for renegotiation to read out to the public? I believe one of the reason Cameron is so coy about announcing his renegotiation strategy is the fact that some of the terms of renegotiation include taking away hard fought workers and human rights! Do the Tory doning leaders of industry support Cameron because he is going to make it easier for them to hire and fire people and to bully and trample all over their work-forces? What next? The abolition of the national minimum wage?

Why do we need an in or out referendum supposedly to be held in 5 years time announced now? Why is Cameron blatantly trying to bribe the electorate? Why is his loony right wing hack mates in the equally loony right wing press not seeing through Cameron's ruse and are just allowing him to get away with it, in a torrent of mush and gush that pass for "news headlines"? The entirety of Cameron's EU speech boiled down to this "vote for me and I will give you an in or out referendum on the EU", he may just as well as saved time of his speech writers and just announced this one line, because the whole thing was just a naked political bribe. Cameron is running scared of the loony right wing faction of the Tory party and of UKIP. I smell Lynton Crosby behind this blatant bribe and EU speech sham.

All Cameron has done is force this country to go through at the very least five years of uncertainty which will impact heavily on inwards investment, growth and jobs. If this is any victory at all then it is surely a Pyrrhic victory. The cost to this country could potentially be enormous, Cameron says he wants to remain in the EU, there are two questions rise immediately from the one sentence:

  1. If Cameron fails to renegotiate what he believes to be reasonable terms, will he then campaign for withdrawal from the EU?
  2. If Cameron successfully renegotiates and campaigns to stay in the EU and the public decide to say no and vote to come out of the EU, will he abide by that referendum result and exit the UK from the EU?
David cameron and this entire unelected government are playing politics and gambling with the lives of the British people. If Cameron thinks a referendum is so vitally important why does n't he hold one next year when we have the European elections? Why wait for at least five years destroying faith in Britain? Is this why Honda is pulling out?

The GDP figures were out yesterday and they have recorded a 0.3% contraction and ever since the Tory controlled coalition has been in unelected government, our economy has flat lined, their policies are not working, yet they are too stubborn and too stupid to see it, stop it and change course, once again they are placing politics and their own narrow party interests against the lives of the people of this country and once again the right wing press, the BBC and Sky News are just allowing them to get away with it.

Osborne and Cameron have had a bad week.It started when IMP chief economist Olivier Blanchard told them the recession was made in Downing Street and they should do a U-turn before it was too late. Then in a party political broadcast the PM falsely claimed the debt was falling, even though it was rising.Over the past 12 months, the deficit was also up, not down as he had claimed.Osborne told journalists at the Davos meeting the economy was going “in the right direction” and healing. That same evening he was spotted with Boris Johnson and the PM.They noisily enjoyed pizza that many commentators took to mean that there was good news coming on the economy. But there wasn’t.We now know that the economy shrank in the fourth quarter by 0.3%.Indeed it is very likely that the next quarter will also be negative, meaning that Slasher is likely to push us into a triple-dip recession. He will try the old excuse of there being snow, but we won’t let him get away with it. Cameron's Can of EU Worms

The prime minister's speech raises far more questions than it answers, in fact, his speech doesn't answer any questions at all.
Even *if* Cameron wins the next election and supposing he does keep his promise (this time) to give the public a referendum, it is reported that the referendum will not be held until around 2019, that will be approximately six and half years of uncertainty hanging over the UK putting off inward investors, thus having a detrimental affect on our jobs and growth.

Cameron said if he renegotiates the right terms for Britain in the UK he will campaign passionately to stay in the EU, so are we to assume that if his renegotiation strategy fails, he will campaign for the Britain to leave the EU? This is a very important question which he point blank refused to answer both after his speech and when Ed Miliband asked him today in PMQs in the House.

When the PM was asked by journalists what the terms of his renegotiation package will be he had no answers. This is not good enough, for the electorate to come to an informed decision we must be in possession of all the facts, you would have thought on the day in which he made such an important speech promising an in or out referendum, that he would have put some meat on the bones and been prepared with a few examples when asked this obvious question.

Why is Cameron so reluctant to say what form these supposed renegotiations will take and when he expects them to take place and seeing as he has already used the veto, who is he going to be negotiating with exactly? Don't forget he has already downgraded us from the top table and most of the countries that matter will not talk to us  because he used the veto! What is Cameron going to do if he doesn't get his own way, stamp his feet and walk out and come back to the UK and campaign for an exit to the EU? Or will he be thrown a few scraps and then return and over inflate what was offered misrepresent the detail (which he has done many times before) and recommend we stay in the EU? And what happens if the British public see through him and vote to exit? What happens to the millions of people whose jobs depend upon us being in the EU? It is not enough for him to say we can trade with the rest of the world, China, Japan and the US have already said they only trade with the UK because we are a member of the EU. Cameron is playing a very dangerous political game and is taking a terrible gamble with all our livelihoods and if he loses, the consequences for the country and the economy could be catastrophic. Some of the so-called negotiations cameron wants from the EU is the consent to treat British workers in any way he sees fit, to take away their working rights and to take away our human rights. make no mistake about it, David Cameron will be pursuing a harsh right wing agenda.

Cameron once looked NHS workers in the eye and blatantly lied to them when he said: "I promise under a Conservative government, there will be no more top down re-organisation of the NHS" shortly before sanctioning the biggest reforms in the NHS 63 year history. Remembering The PM's predisposition for u-turns (approximately 33 so far) and remembering his "cast iron guarantee" to give us all a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty before glibly reneging upon his promise, I would not be willing to bet and lose my money that he keeps this "promise" to hold this "in or out referendum" either!

Lets not kid ourselves, this speech wasn't about positioning Britain's interests in Europe, it was all about positioning his own party political  interests for re-election in 2015; re-election into a job he has proved without a shadow of a doubt he is both unfit and seriously unqualified to do and making this EU speech at this time just goes even further to prove this.

The only reason he is offering this referendum is because he is running scared from the right in his party and panicking about UKIP. Cameron is being driven by the fantasy EU ideology based on the fanatical right wing eurosceptics of the Conservation party and not by what is right and best for this country, he is placing his own narrow party politics interests ahead that of the financial security of the nation.

How can Nick Clegg, now carry on supporting and propping up a government and Tory party that is diametrically opposed to his own party's long held beliefs on Europe, especially when this is definitely going to affect jobs and growth? If he carries on propping this government up, then this will I believe be the last straw which broke the camel's back for the remaining few supporters of the Lib Dems.

David Cameron once went into the lobby with Ed Miliband to vote no for an in or out referendum on Europe, but that was before UKIP started to make advances into his party's support.

The bottom line of what Cameron has actually done today with his political opportunism  is to ignite the very real possibility of the UK leaving the EU and place millions of jobs at risk and all for the sake of his own narrow party political interests, it is an absolutely shameful way for a prime minister to behave and once again he has made us appear the laughing stock of Europe, who in their right mind can ever take this liar and deceiver, this misleader and purveyor of black propaganda and disinformation seriously? He says he wants the rest of the EU to work with him on h this - why? Why would they do that? It's not as if any of his policies have worked so far is it? This is the PM along with his chancellor who has given us a double dip recession and quite possibly a triple dip is on the cards. He has messed the British economy up so much that we are now borrowing far more than we were when Labour were in power at the height of the financial crisis. This is the PM and chancellor who took a a growing economy in recovery and decreasing borrowing and turned it into a double dip recession with contracting growth and now we are heading fro a triple dip recession and will almost certainly lose our AAA rating making our increasing borrowing more expensive, the more they cut, the more we m borrow and the more we contract and the more we will eventually pay for that borrowing.

If we are to have this referendum, surely we can expect more from a PM who told Ed Miliband to "go away and get a policy", when in fact Ed Miliband had given a straight answer to cameron's question which IS a policy, we do not want to hold an in or out referendum, I know Cameron doesn't do detail, however, you would t have thought that even he could have grasped this!

Today we saw something very loud and very clear in the House of Commons, we saw a weak and panicking prime minister so desperate to cling onto power, so desperate to get re-elected, so desperate to win over the right wing loonies in his own party, sell this country and her people down the river for his own party political reasons, in direct contrast we saw the leader of the opposition, Ed Miliband, say that he did not want an in or out referendum. Now he isn't stupid, he knows what this could do to Labour's support, and he knows he has opened himself up to constant barracking from the right wing Tories and he knows this will be flung at him from the gutter right wing tabloids whose editors and foreign owners want to govern this country without standing for election, yet he still had the guts and the integrity to do what he believes is the right thing for the country, not for himself, not for the Labour party, but for the country, in short Ed Miliband has been true to his word, that he would always speak the truth and always act in what he sees as the right thing to do for the country first.

When the next election comes along, the choice will be clear,a vote for Cameron who is following his party, or a vote for Miliband who is leading his?

Cameron who is a proven liar, or Miliband who tells the truth no matter what the consequences?

A vote for Cameron and more of the austerity that has so badly damaged the country's economy, is a vote to damage the country still further.

What right has the PM to ask for votes from people when he has caused nothing but fear, distress, chaos and confusion to the disabled, the vulnerable, the terminally ill, forcing them to work for zero so he can falsely claim unemployment is falling? A person who is privatising the NHS by stealth and wants to use the EU to force NHS doctors to work all hours putting the public at risk?

David Cameron and the Tory controlled coalition government is seriously undermining this country and causing serious damage to the people, doing what he did today solely for his own political gain, is just another blatant abuse of his powers. In doing what he did today he has opened up a giant can of worms that will prove absolutely disastrous for this country, he did all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons.

David Cameron is not a statesman he is a scared and panicking conman!

Philip Davies Tory MP's Blatant Hypocrisy In Reporting Denis MacShane!

I've written about this before, undeniably Former Labour MP Denis MacShane did wrong he admitted claiming £7,500 and stupidly falsifying his accounts.
The first thing he did wrong was to commit the act the second apparently was to tell the truth and own up.
I'm not making excuses for him however, he did NOT gain financially from his expense claims, the money was claimed while he was away in Europe on official government business and part of the money bought laptops for his interns which he allowed to keep. He did wrong and he paid a heavy price, he did the right thing, he resigned his seat with immediate effect. He had extenuating circumstances. He had gone through a traumatic divorce, held the hand of his daughter's mother as she lay dying from a stroke and had previously lost their young daughter in a sky diving accident. The man had thrown himself into his work and became careless with his expense claims. He had lost so much and then on top of all of that he lost his Rotherham constituency his job and constituents he loved.

How much more does the heartless Conservative MP Philip Davies want Mr MacShane to lose? Perhaps he will not be happy until he has seen him dragged through the courts and slung in prison?

If Mr MacShane is to be hounded in this way, perhaps Philip Davies may like to ask the police to reopen the file into affairs of Liberal Democrat MP David Laws? Who lost his job as chief Secretary to the Treasury a few weeks after he accepted it.

David Laws, stole £60,000 from the taxpayer mostly for rent and upkeep of his lovers mortgage and house. He knew he was not supposed to claim for rent when he was cohabiting but he still did it, his excuse which was accepted by Mr Lyon was because he was gay! He was give a 7 day suspension from the House and he was recently rewarded for his £60,000 theft from the taxpayer by PM David Cameron, who gave him another job in his government! Laws saw NO reason to resign his seat as an MP.

By contrast, for taking £7,500 which he was NOT personally benefiting financially from, Mr MacShane was suspended from the House for 12 months! He immediately did the honourable thing and resigned his seat.

Yet this is still not enough for the Tory MP Philip Davies, so lets take a  closer look at Mr Davies.

Conservative MP Philip Davies
Philip Davies Conservative MP for Shipley.

This is the MP who wants mentally and physically disabled people to treat themselves as second class citizens and offer themselves for employment at less than the lowest rate of the national minimum wage.

The Tories are fostering the belief that every single person who claims benefits is some way a "fraud" or a "welfare scrounger" or is "swinging the lead", what is more in order to get public support on their side to make these swingeing changes in welfare, they are deliberately setting person against person, so much so that disabled people are being physically attacked in the street and verbally abused and generally made to feel worthless and the appalling attitude of Conservative MP Philip Davies has not helped, he said:
“People with a learning disability can’t be as productive in their work as somebody who hasn’t got a disability.”
Mr Davies wants disabled people to offer themselves for less pay than the national minimum wage to make them less dependent on the taxpayer/state, so it's only fair then that we know just how much of a burden Mr Philip Davies Tory MP is on the taxpayer/state.

First of all a little background on Mr Davies.

He was first elected as an MP at the 2005 general election for the seat of Shipley with a majority of 422 votes, removing the sitting Labour MP.  because he was in a key Tory marginal seat he received donations
toward his successful campaign from Bearwood Corporate Services, a front company set up by the then non-domicile Tory Lord Ashcroft to give out donations to marginal seats such as Davies's. Bearwood has given a total of £5.1 million to the Conservative Party since 2003.

Davies voted against gay and equal rights and has a below average voting record.

"Political Correctness"

Davies is the parliamentary spokesman for the Campaign Against Political Correctness and he has been accused of wasting theEquality and Human Rights Commission's time by sending a stream of correspondence to its Chair, Trevor Phillips, between 2008 and 2009. In this correspondence, he asked questions relating to race and sex discrimination such as: "Is it offensive to black up or not, particularly if you are impersonating a black person?" and "Why it is so offensive to black up your face, as I have never understood this?" Leading some commentators to suggest that he was "lobbying for 'blacking up.'" He also asked whether it was racist for a policeman to refer to a BMW as "black man's wheels" and whether the Metropolitan Black Police Association breaches discrimination law by restricting its membership to black people. Peter Herbert, the chair of the Society of Black Lawyers, said: "This correspondence seems a complete and utter waste of time... he shouldn't be using the Human Rights Commission as basically a source of legal advice."

In March 2007 he voted against the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007. He also complained, while calling for a Parliamentary debate on "political correctness", about a school production of Romeo and Julian.

He was called a "troglodyte" by then Conservative MP and current Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow for his opposition to debating the Equalities Bill, the effect of the recession on women and International Women’s Day.

Islam

In October 2006, after an act of vandalism initially alleged to have been perpetrated by Muslims, The Sun quoted Davies as saying "if there’s anybody who should f*** off it’s the Muslims who do this sort of thing." It was later exposed by The Independent, among others, that the incident never involved Muslims and  The Sun was forced to issue an apology four months later. Davies, however, has not apologised for his comments.

(Yet another Tory MP who thinks it is OK to use profane language, seems to run through the Tory party like a stick of Brighton rock!)

In July 2010 Davies argued it would not be beneficial to allow the United Kingdom Youth Parliament to stage a debate in the House of Commons Chamber because it would create a precedent which would mean organisations such as the Muslim Council of Britain would be able to use the House of Commons.

Global poverty

In early 2010, Davies was criticised by the press and religious organisations for using Parliamentary rules to "wreck" the Debt Relief (Developing Countries) Bill, an anti-poverty measure designed to stop "Vulture funds" from buying up the debt of third-word countries in order to aggressively pursue repayments through the international courts. The bill eventually failed because an anonymous Tory shouted "object", allegedly while Conservative frontbenchers covered their mouths to hide their identity. Douglas Alexander, the then development minister, wrote to David Cameron accusing the Conservatives of deliberately scuppering the bill.

Expenses Mr Philip Davies Conservative MP

Davies was first elected in 2005.

2005 - 2006 Total Expenses Claimed  -  £143,582  (inclusive of  £84,124   staff costs)
2006 - 2007 Total Expenses Claimed  -  £148,060  (inclusive of  £87,803   staff costs)
2007 - 2008 Total Expenses Claimed  -  £161,300  (inclusive of  £90,257   staff costs)
2008 - 2009 Total Expenses Claimed  -  £171,258  (inclusive of  £100,599 staff costs)

Grand Total up to 2009 Total Claimed -   £622. 200

I  wonder how many disabled people were in a position to claim well over half a million pounds from the taxpayer over and above their salary? I also wonder who his staff are to be paid such a lot? How many staff does he employ and do they work for less than the national minimum wage?

Davies has filled in approximately 18 surveys in 2010 (Remunerated employment, office, profession etc) and received payment of a total of £1.185 for approximately  5 hours 40 mins work - which is approximately £237 per hour (well above the national minimum wage) Of the £1,185 Davies donated  £375.00 to an unnamed charity.

Received £600 for writing article for Mail on Sunday. Northcliffe House 2 Derry Street, Kensington, London W8  5TT. Hours: 2 hrs. (Registered 29 November 2010).

It is the breathtaking arrogance and total hypocrisy of this man who wants disabled people to be treated as 2nd class citizens and work for less than the national minimum wage, while he rakes it in mainly from the tyaxpayers.

The stench of hypocrisy from Philip Davies and for this Tory controlled coalition government permeates everywhere, they are vile hypocritical deceitful liars!

The Arrogance of The Tories Knows No Bounds!

Bernard Jenkin MP

Conservative MP Bernard Jenkin is Chairman of the Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) which examines quality and standards of administration within the civil service and scrutinises reports of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. Grand title, sounds responsible, so you would think the public could expect high standards from this Tory MP. Not so seemingly! Mr Jenkin thinks that former  disgraced Tory Chief Whip, Andrew Mitchell swearing and effing and blinding at police officers in Downing Street in public earshot, is nothing to worry about its "just detail" - apparently!

So if a nurse or a doctor, or indeed a police officer turned around told a patient, a member of the public or another member of staff to eff off, or use the eff word, or other profanities in the middle of the ward or the street etc this would be entirely acceptable and it would be classed as "just detail" and Bernard Jenkin right wing Conservative MP for Harwich and North Essex, who holds Baroness Thatcher as his icon would not bat any eyelid? I wonder if someone had approached Margaret Thatcher and effed and blinded at her, Mr Jenkin would think this acceptable? Or if a patient decided to eff and blind at their doctor, or nurse, or member of the public decided to swear shouting abuse at police officers in the street on a Friday night, that is ostensibly OK by Mr Jenkin too? If I ever met him or the prime minister or Iain Duncan-Smith or another member of this hideously incompetent foul Tory controlled Government that I vehemently dislike, not just as a government, or as politicians, but mainly as human beings and I let rip with a string of profanities to express my displeasure at them, this would perfectly OK, it would be "just detail"?

It's odd that, because I seem to remember watching  David Cameron out campaigning on TV in Smithfields Meat Market  (I think) during the the 2010 general election and a rather exuberant lady market trader said to Cameron to "go and get the bastards" he said to her "please don't swear", she actually said it again, and again he asked her not to swear before moving hurriedly on. So we can assume it is not OK for that market trader to use the word "bastards", but it is perfectly OK for a high ranking member of David Cameron's government to use the eff word at police and eff and blind in the street at officers because according to Bernard Jenkin, it's "just detail"?

What if we all went around swearing and cussing at everyone who  got on our nerves, or annoyed us in some way, what a thoroughly unpleasant place it would be.

Bottom line is, that it isn't alright and it isn't OK to swear at police officers and it is definitely not "just detail". Whether Andrew Mitchell called the officers "plebs" or not is irrelevant, he swore at them in the street and that was totally unacceptable behaviour from anyone, let alone someone who held such a high profile high governmental position and for that the coward we have as our prime minister, David Cameron should have instantly dismissed him, which is exactly what would have happened to you or I if we had carried on like this in our place of work.

Of course what Jenkin is trying to do along with other "friends" of Mitchell, is to try and get his job back and if this happens, then this government lead by Cameron will be once again showing the public how beneath contempt they hold us! These Tory MPs arrogance knows no bounds!

Falling Unemployment? Are You Sure Mr Cameron? Time To Come Clean and Stop Your Abuse of Power!

Unemployment Stats Update:  We are now supposed to believe that unemployment  fell again between September & November by 37,000. When is this government going to stop lying to us? Read On for an honest and factual appraisal of true state of unemployment.

Car makers Honda are going to lay off 800 people and a subsidiary company that relies on supplying parts to Honda has already said that as a direct result of problems at Honda they will be forced to make redundant 300 from their workforce.

Jessops the photography chain closed its doors today with the loss of over a 1400 jobs in its 187 stores and of course the knock on effect there will mean further job losses in the supply chain.

Last October sports chain JJB went into administration and closed its doors on 133 stores with the loss of 2,200 jobs.

At the tail end of 2012, Comet the electrical chain also ceased trading with the loss of over 7000 jobs. So in the space  of just three months, and counting just these companies alone (there have been many more), the loss of jobs is at the very least 11,700 and this is not counting all of the companies who supply these companies who must also be laying off staff.

February 2012 saw Peacocks clothing chain close and taken over at the loss of 3,100 jobs.

Last June 2012 Clinton Cards closed, administrators managed to sell 400 stores and save around 4,500 jobs, but approximately 2,500 jobs were lost.

March 2012 Game Group stores closed at the loss of 2,200 jobs.

The NHS has lost approximately 7000 nurses.

Today we have the News that high street music chain HMV is going into administration with the possible loss of around 4000 jobs in its 248 stores.

Yesterday it was announced that Jaguar Land Rover are to create 800 jobs, although the company doesn't say when, if they come they will come in Solihull. This is great news, but where are all these other jobs being created in such big numbers just in order to keep the e unemployment figures stable, let alone see them fall?

It's mystifying! I would like to know just how the government explains the fall in unemployment? They say that the private sector is making up for the job losses, but where? Big mac jobs? Cleaning? The millions of part time positions being created as the government make it easier to hire and fire staff?

The fact that George Osborne has made it easier and cheaper for Tory doning companies to hire two part time workers rather than one full time worker, by reducing the amount of national insurance the employer has to pay for part time workers?

Last November  Unite union identified 20,000 more jobs that are at risk of being lost and this is on top of those I have mentioned.

Since the coalition came to power they have culled over 500,000 thousands public sector jobs and there is a further 250,000 to go.

You do not have to be a mathematical genius or a statistician to realise that something is not right and that something is definitely not adding up.

Richard Branson's Virgin Care (at the last count) had taken over around 120 NHS services. Last summer they signed a £500 million deal (before the ink was dry on the Queen's royal assent to the Health and Social care Act) to run community health services in Surrey and Devon.

Virgin Care has taken over 1,100 staff who were previously employed by the NHS Devon and Devon County Council.

At a rough estimate Virgin Care must employ at the very least 105,000 staff who were formerly classified as public sector NHS workers.

Last year 200,000 staff who were previously classified as public sector workers in colleges had their employment status reclassified as private sector workers.

When the last employment stats came out at the end of 2012, the government boasted that the private sector employment was up by 65,000 to 23.9 million while public sector employment had fallen by 24,000 to 5.7 million.

How many of these jobs out of the quoted figures were NHS staff formerly employed in the public sector who had their employment reclassified as private sector in companies such as Virgin Care?

I quote Virgin Care, but of course there are other private sector companies doing the same.

Why isn't the Office National Statistics (ONS) more transparent about how they are arriving at these figures and who and what makes them up?

Either someone somewhere has got their sums wildly wrong, or there is the strong stench of corruption and the public are deliberately being kept in the dark about the true state of problems this country is now facing.

Take for example the government's much heralded (but useless) workfare programmes where private sector companies get paid millions of pounds of taxpayers money for taking the unemployed from Job Centres and are supposed to be finding them work. In reality what is happening is that the unemployed are being forced to go on these programmes and forced to work full-time for *ZERO* pay for companies like Debenhams, Poundland, Argos and Tescos etc if they refuse on whatever grounds to comply, they will have their Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) of approximately £72 per week sanctioned (withdrawn). JSA can be removed from anywhere between 3 months and 3 years! Incidentally many of the companies who are taking part in these schemes also "coincidentally" have top people in them who are connected to the Conservative party in some way and some are Tory donors who donate large sums of money to the Conservative party.

While the unemployed are forced to work for nothing at these big chain stores, the ONS has confirmed that these unemployed people are *REMOVED* from the unemployment register.

Which means that the Labour Force Survey are currently counting hundreds of thousands of people as employed, even though they a have *NO* proper job and *NO* wage. it is the taxpayer who is funding the private sector companies payroll by providing a workforce free of charge to these big companies. The prime minister, chancellor Osborne and IDS have criticised the unemployed and labelled them as shirkers and spongers off the State. Who is the scroungers here? The companies who are using the unemployed as slave labour in Britain in 2013, or the unemployed, the *vast majority* of whom are genuine and unemployed through no fault of their own and cannot find proper work because these companies are using them and abusing them and while these companies are receiving tax payer funded *free* labour, they are *not* employing people properly. The dismal failure of the Work Programme in its first year is highlighted by the fact that only 3.5 per cent of those placed in work were still in employment after six months - below the target figure of 5.5 per cent. Yet the Prime Minister stood up in the House of Commons and blatantly misled people.

This is the work of the Work and Pensions secretary Iain Duncan-Smith at the Department of Work and Pensions, who along with David Cameron, George Osborne, Nick Clegg, Danny Alexander and Mark Hoban are colluding to deliberately mislead the British public over the true state of unemployment in this country. Incidentally, Mark Hoban is the minister who claimed for red silk cushions on his expense account and a loo brush which cost £18 and could have been purchased for 50p. Read about the scandal which is Mark Hoban and his expense account Here.

If people refuse to work for nothing on these placements then their JSA is sanctioned, which means at any one point there could be hundreds of thousands of people who are unemployed, but are *NOT* being counted as unemployed on the unemployment register or the claimant count.

I also believe that the true number of unemployed is probably nearer to 3 million and that is *NOT* counting those classed as "underemployed".
The underemployed are made up of people who have started their own business and maybe not working but waiting for the phone to ring, but technically counted as employed. This is currently affecting a growing number of people and these are the people who David Cameron recently boasted about as "small business start-ups".

The underemployed are also made up out of hundreds of thousands construction workers who have had little or no work for the entire 2012, but who do *NOT* claim JSA, so are *NOT* counted as unemployed.

I believe the unemployment figures could be corrupt and are possibly being seriously manipulated by the the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

But why is the ONS allowing this to happen, even though they know it is going on?

Why is the government in the form of the PM David Cameron, Chancellor Osborne, and Liberal Democrats, DPM Clegg, Business Secretary Vince Cable and Chief secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander blatantly lying to us and massaging the figures with the sole intention of keeping the entire country in the dark?

Only 4 months ago Mr Cable was telling us how wonderful Honda is and how the future of British car making was safe and improving, when he personally visited the Honda factory. Is he seriously trying to suggest he knew nothing about Honda troubles such a short while ago when they must have been obvious?

Osborne and Cable should explain to the nation how ravaging the the car industry with a massive 2.5 VAT hike was going to help car sales and keep people in their jobs.

Cable should now explain why right up to the 2010 general election he was against making stringent cuts and against any rise in VAT yet after one whiff of power and a ministerial car he changed his mind in a 180 degree u-turn and helped the Tories implement the VAT hike, which incidentally the Tories said they had no intention of raising!
But why am I surprised when this government have reneged on every single promise they have ever made and lied through their back teeth in order to get into power and have been lying, cheating, manipulating and deliberately misleading the public ever since.

I do not believe this government is telling us the truth about the state they have managed to get this country into with their insane ideological austerity policies, policies they were told would not work by virtually ever world leading economist, as well as the Labour opposition who let's face it had experience dealing with the problems the crash brought the country. This country had gone through a bad time, but in t 2010 when Labour lost the election, they handed an economy over to the Tories which was in recovery with 2.4% growth and borrowing falling. Exposed the deficit myth.

This Tory controlled coalition government is deliberately misleading the British public, it is also governing by means of fear, chaos and confusion and using a black propaganda disinformation campaign.

There are several ways they are misrepresenting the unemployment figures and this must be a concerted effort and they must have conspired to deliberately mislead the British people. I have just demonstrated the ways in which Cameron, Osborne, Clegg, Duncan-Smith, Hoban, Alexander and Cable are deliberately misinforming us. It's not just arrogance, this is a total abuse of power and yet the Tories mates in the right wing press are comprehensively *failing* to inform the public about what this *unelected* government are doing.

One more thought, if this is happening in unemployment, then what else are they conspiring to keep us in the dark about? Education? Policing? Defence? Privatisation of the NHS?

Cameron and Osborne a couple of fools that wanted power and its trappings so badly that they lied and did anything to get it and when they got it, they hadn't a clue what to do with it or how to handle it and they are certainly not able. This country is being run into the ground by an unelected pair of feckless narcissists aided and abetted  and being kept in power by Nick Clegg, a Pike (Dad's Army) lookalike who is as totally clueless as the character!

This government is proving to be an unmitigated disaster for Britain, but what is unforgivable is the way the Liberal Democrats work to keep the Tories in power by going against every principle and tenet they ever held, not only do they do this, but then they go on the airways to defend the Tories and make lame excuses for the mess they are helping to create.

Britain needs to wake up and wake up fast, we are sleepwalking to wards utter catastrophe! If the Liberal Democrats do not walk away and help collapse this hideously incompetent, uncaring lying manipulating Tory government, the it is time for the people to rise up and do it for them!
