Is This Cameron's Big Society?

Samantha Jones the Chief executive of Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust in South London, made a plea to all staff in an email, among them nurses and doctors, to forgo their holidays and take pay cuts, to help her balance her budget "black hole" of £30 million.

Ms Jones said that some doctors had volunteered pay cuts, and she herself has pledged to give up one day of her annual leave.

Now isn't that big of her? Ms Jones earns £150.000 per year. Here's a suggestion, how about she cuts her own pay by £50.000 per year?

How about chancellor George Osborne stops dodging paying his tax and stumps up the £1.6 million he owes the British taxpayers?

Is this what David Cameron means by his big society? He gets people to give up their pay and their holidays, yet still do the work for nothing? Meanwhile Cameron is forced to take his vanity photographer off of the civil service payroll, but the British taxpayer is still being forced to pay for his aristocratic multi-millionaire wife's personal stylist, and we were still forced to pay about £1 million for her new kitchen in number 10 (that must be some kitchen!)

It is the utter arrogance and hypocrisy of these Tories that rankles every single time and how dare they ask hard working nurses and other invaluable hospital staff to take pay cuts and forgo their well earned holidays, while this government take the piss out of them and the British taxpayers?
