Britain's Dysfunctional Tory Government!

Another day another disaster! Why is it that anything this Conservative controlled government and this pretendy hapless Prime Minister David Cameron has dealings with turns into complete farce? Not content with operating a Government that presents us with multiple u-turns, (sometimes even more than one a day), they are hell bent in ripping a hole through the very fabric of our society, if they knew what it was they were doing it would be scary enough and a hell of a ride for the public, but it's obvious now these Tory fools don't know what they are doing and it is not just scary, it is like being on the worlds most frightening roller coaster and witnessing part of the track your car is hurtling towards suddenly break off and disappear!

All of us need to understand now that Britain has a totally dysfunctional government, with a totally dysfunctional PM and the Deputy PM and the Chancellor are not much better, in fact, they are absolutely no better, the lot of them are completely feckless. They did not win the election, because quite rightly people were sceptical of them, so Cameron went out and bought the 57 MPs he needed to make his numbers from a "bargain basement sale in the seconds department" of a near bankrupt chain store. Apparently these rejects had all been mistakenly dressed in orange jumpers when they should have been dressed blue! One of the biggest laughs for me is to listen to this cumbersome tiresome lot that refer to themselves as the "coalition" opining that they have no choice but to lie, misrepresent, cheat and mislead and completely disregard their manifestos because the public did not vote for one party, they voted for a hung parliament and coalition so they are fulfilling their duty to the public! Biggest lot of  "hollyhocks"I have ever heard! Out of the millions of votes cast in this country and the myriad of candidates bordering from the certifiable Miss Whiplash to the hilarious man in a monkey suit, not one single candidate stood for a hung parliament and coalition government, and nowhere on any ballot paper was there a box to tick that gave us the choice of electing a hung parliament and coalition government - not one! This is just used as an excuse for them to lie their way out when asked awkward questions, such as trebling instead of abolishing tuition fees. DPM Nick Clegg can often be seen and heard Evangelising, flinging his arms all over the place and generally talking to us all like we are a bunch pf pre-school children saying: "we did not win the election so we have no choice" we are forced to rob disabled people, children and generally treat those on benefits as undeserving scum. The fact remains that Clegg and his Liberal Democrats know fully well that they never had a hope in hell of winning the last election, they only ever have one hope and it is always the same - that there would be no overall majority and then they can get into government by default, so their manifesto was and always will be the longest set of blatant lies in political history (next to the Conservative party's), who are they trying to kid? They were never going to be in a position to implement any of it, so they thought they could get away with being all things to all men and saying one thing in one constituency and the direct opposite in another!

This mongrel government have winged it into power and now Britain is being governed by a bunch of political opportunistic 'talentless' chancers. They want to reform the country, yet there is not one of them who knows what they are doing, let alone capable of actually carrying it out successfully and that includes the Nazi that is the religious zealot Ian Duncan-Smith!. To have one big reform in a parliament is time consuming enough (if it is done correctly), but to have reforms in every major department is not only catastrophic, it's nigh on suicidal! This lot are not capable of rearranging their curtains, let alone rearranging the infrastructure of the country!

Everywhere we look and everywhere we turn we see the government flip-flopping all over the place! They are incapable of keeping their word. They're all wandering about like a bloody great fart in a trance and none of them know what it is they are doing, least of all know when it is they are supposed to be doing it, remember Chloe Smith in the fuel price debacle? Watch it in all its cringeworthiness here. Announcements made in the morning are changed by midday. It's a joke, a farce, it's laughable until you realise how frightening our position is in this country with a government of fools and take a look at the sheer number of reforms they are trying to impose on the country, and not one of the rabble appears to know what it is they are supposed to be doing. They even caused a petrol panic back in the summer and the whole country was gripped in queues for fuel affecting many businesses and preventing many from getting to work.

After only 2½ years, this government has been reduced to the sleaziest, most venal governments in the history of this country. They are already tired, washed-out and devoid of ideas, all except for reform anything  they can and sell off anything the Tories didn't manage to sell off the last time they were in power. There is no rhyme nor reason for what they are doing, they seem to be doing it simply because they can! As far as totally absurd governments go, this one surely wins first prize. Their futile attempts at reform are beset with so many problems, often they have taken a perfectly functioning policy like the hugely successful Regional Development Agencies and replaced them with a distant and very poor and totally ineffective toothless cousin like the Local Enterprise Councils which have been a mega flop. So much so that the Tories had to ask Lord Heseltine to come in and redraft them, he did and issued a set of improvements which will if implemented turn the LEPs back into the old RDAs just with a different name and the cost of doing this will be phenomenal, not only in funding terms but in the thousands of people that could have been helped into employment and weren't, because of this government's incompetence and inability to see the bigger picture.
Same sort of thing in Government departments. Cabinet ministers went hell for leather reforming their various departments sacking thousands of civil servants and then discovered they had no one left to do their work, so they were then forced to rehire the same staff they just sacked through agencies costing the taxpayer three times as much!
Exactly the same with the so called "bonfire of the quangos", they burned a lot of them then had no one to do the work they did so had to set up more quangos. It's careless, irresponsible incompetent meddling in things they know absolutely nothing about and this government are leaving a trail of chaos and confusion in its wake!

It seems they are they picking up from the mayhem they caused the last time they were in power from 1979 to 1997, when they sold off our railways, privatised them and caused the huge problems we have with infrastructure, franchises and fairs now. They sold off and privatised our utility companies and now the price of gas, electric and water is fast becoming out of reach for people to actually use and things have got so bad that people are being forced to choose between heating or eating! With all these reforms this government are carrying out, it hardly fills one with confidence when they cannot eve get one single little thing right and where they often announce one thing in the morning and then change their mind by early lunch time. For months this government were being warned about their proposed badger cull by top scientists and not only did they go against what these scientists advised and announced the badger cull would go ahead, they also cited a scientist that backed them up using his name in their official announcement, except that he did not back them, he was one of the top scientists advising against the cull. A few days later the government have abandoned the cull in yet another u-turn. The fiasco over the West Coast Railways where the department of transport and the Treasury got their sums completely wrong, they were told this by everyone but refused to budge, it was only when Branson of Virgin Rail was taking the government to court did they back down and admit they had got this completely wrong. Experts say this is going to end up costing the taxpayer at least £400 million! it's not just one thing in one department, it is everything in every department, every day huge mistakes are being made and when the government's planned reforms in the NHS take place and they start next year, it will not only be money that it costs us, we will be paying with our health and our lives!

All this and so much more and the only thing that seems to strike fear at the Tory party is the EU! Nothing else seems to matter to this bunch of over privileged out of touch millionaires.

How ironic is it that the most jingoistic party, are the Conservatives who boast to want us to depend less on Europe and want us to cut our ties with the EU, who stand up at the end of each Tory party conference and belt out Land of Hope and Glory, while bedecked in the Union flag, the party who secretly want to thrash all immigrants to within an inch of their lives and want to shut our doors to all immigration into this country, are the very same party that have flogged off our infrastructure to Europe? This party who does not want much to do with the EU has sold off to them over the years, our railways, gas, electricity, water. Do the public realise that "the old electricity suppliers of eastern and north-west England and the English Midlands, the coal-fired power stations of Kingsnorth, Ironbridge and Ratcliffe-on-Soar, the turbine shops at Hams Hall, the oil and gas stations on the Isle of Grain, Killingholme, Enfield and Cottam are the property of E.ON of Düsseldorf?".

The scariest thing is this pretendy government, with pretendy PM are in the process of doing this to our NHS, soon our NHS will have disappeared and we will be charged through the nose for health care and thousands of lives are going to be placed in great danger, if they are not stopped.  You've been warned!
Yet all these reforms will not save us money, they will end up costing us a great deal more and the people that caused the world's problems, the Tory supporting banksters are just allowed to get away with their crimes in this country, not one single one of them has ever been prosecuted for what they did! While in America they are being prosecuted, their assets frozen and imprisoned. The only reason that doesn't happen in this country is because most of the City (and don't forget it was the Tories who deregulated the financial sector) not only support the Conservative party, they actually donate millions of pounds to it. Is it any wonder that the Tories will not bite the hand that feeds them, but are making us pay for their greed instead?

£450,000 for 54 Days of Failure! What About The REAL Victims In All Of This?

Great work if you can get it! George Entwistle former Director General of the BBC and just 54 days in post resigned under a cloud and the BBC paid him £450,000 of our taxpayer pounds for his trouble!

Once again this Conservative controlled Government has totally messed up, can they not do anything right? If "pretendy Prime Minister" David Cameron had managed to refrain from interfering in the running of the BBC, and had not parachuted his old Tory millionaire chum Conservative peer Lord Patten into the job of BBC Trust Chairman, then it is very doubtful Lord Patten's "pretendy son" George Entwistle would have ever been given the job of Director General, he would have stayed (probably quite happily) where he was and he would not now be facing a barrage of criticism in the press, or be out of a job with loss of his career which he has spent years cultivating. I have some sympathy with the man, he became the fall guy for the Savile scandal which he seems to have spent most of his 54 days trying to sort out, he was left clearing up the mess of decades of neglect at the BBC. He then stupidly got himself into hot water because bizarrely he had to preside over who pulled the plug on a previous Newsnight programme looking into the Savile abuse claims at the BBC, while sorting that out he took his eye off the ball and the same programme, Newsnight, complete with "sloppy journalism" slipped a programme on air concerning the abuse of a Steve Messham in children's home. So the BBC got itself into a situation where it was being condemned for *not* putting out a programme about possible child abuse and then roundly condemned for putting out a programmed about child abuse.

Neither Newsnight nor Mr Messham named names, yet somehow an almighty hoo-ha has erupted because of the case of  mistaken identity which happened years ago, when Mr Messham was shown a picture of his abuser and was told by police that the man in the photograph was a top Tory with links to the Thatcher government. Was that Mr Messham's fault? Certainly not. Was that George Entwistle's fault? Of course not!
No names were named, Newsnight simply said a Tory linked to the Conservative government so why the fuss? It's the truth! OK so more journalistic checks should have taken place, get the editor in and haul him over the carpet, demote him, move him sideways  make him make the teas for the cleaners, or whatever, but for goodness sake stop this politically engineered crisis designed to take attention away from the true victims and get back to why these Inquiries were set up in the first place!

I still do not see what all this fuss is about and why Entwistle should have been forced to resign, but even so, is he really worth this huge pay-off while the people of this country who pay their licence fees are struggling to either eat a meal or heat their homes?

We should also perhaps have the police investigate why David Mellor is suddenly so keen to destroy the reputation of a witness who is speaking about about child abuse. Mellor who has been in relative obscurity tucked away in his revolting LBC radio show has suddenly sprung to life and used his own show to libel a witness and then did the same on a show aired on BBC2 last Sunday. The BBC also needs to answer why Mellor was asked on the Sunday Politics programme by presenter and right wing journalist Andrew Neil, why now? What is so important about this opportunistic revolting liar that makes him a suitable person to appear on the BBC to discuss this and please don't say it was because he was once Heritage Secretary, because he wasn't any good at his job then and he certainly wont have changed much in over 20 years! Why  did Andrew Neil allow him to further abuse a victim of child abuse by branding him as "a weirdo" and not make the slightest attempt to stop him or even pull him up on it?  The former Conservative minister "for fun" David Mellor, who most would say is more than a little "weird" has had sordid sex scandals and financial irregularities himself which caused him to resign from the previous Conservative government in 1992, how dare he try and point his finger at someone else, the hypocrite! Mellor was also part of the government and still a Tory MP at the time of the Inquiry ordered by the now Foreign Secretary William Hague, when he was Welsh Secretary. The Inquiry which had such an appallingly narrow remit and which is now beginning to look like a political cover-up!  And while all these various sideshows play out, once again, the true victims of the most appalling and shocking abuse are having their voices drowned out.

I end this blog by repeating that because of the fuss and faux moral outrage of our pretendy Prime Minister and his various little sycophantic journalistic buddies in the barking mad loony right wing newspapers (who have been known to libel a fair few people themselves over the years) and BBC presenters who all seem to be suffering from sudden bouts of total hysteria and manic tendencies, and Mellor the former Tory Government minister for "weirdness" all giving their opinions about the mistaken identity of a man, *who no one actually named* in Newsnight, and who the victim did not even name on that programme, and who was also not named in the House Commons either, the real victims of this heinous child abuse, those that suffered at the hands of a high profile paedophile ring that operated in North Wales and is said to have operated in many children's homes across the country, are once again being sidelined and their cries for help are falling on deaf ears. And once again the establishment that has already caused these people immeasurable harm, is once again abusing their rights to be heard is now standing by and allowing the intentional discrediting of witnesses.

Whether this particular Tory controlled rabidly incompetent government, that maybe should open a "Ministry for U-Turns", with its useless out of touch and out of his depth incompetent prime minister and his mates in the right wing press like it or not, there are links of a paedophile activity to former PM Margaret Thatcher's Conservative government, in the shape of her close aide the late Tory MP Peter Morrison, who's "late night pursuits" have been detailed in an autobiography written by former Tory MP and Health Minister, Edwina Currie. Edwina Currie herself had an illicit affair with the former Tory PM Lord John Major, when he was still a serving prime minister. Now that it appears that further evidence has come to light that there may have been an historical link to a paedophile ring to Downing street involving convicted paedophile Peter Righton and also links to a BBC presenter, it is only right that this be fully investigated, if Cameron and Downing Street do not like it, then tough, they are not above the law, they may think they are, but they are not! The name of that police man who showed Mr Messham a picture who when Mr Messham identified him as his abuser told him that it was Lord McAlpine. It now appears that another member of the McAlpine family lives in Wrexham, so let's get this out in the open, investigated and cleared up before there is more mistaken identities.

So let's have no more of this stalling and obfuscation and let David Cameron stop playing political games in order to create smokescreens and cover-ups for previous Tory governments. We must have a properly held Inquiry with as much scope and power as it needs to investigate and bring these abusers to face justice and not these excuses for Inquiries that Home Secretary Theresa May has just announced. How can she in all honesty, fairness and openness ask the police to investigate themselves? It is just recipes for further chaos and confusion.

It's past time the true victims of this abuse were heard and the Prime Minister should realise that the public will not accept anything less.

Just When You Think It can't Get Any Worse At The BBC, Step Up David Mellor & Andrew Neil

Andrew Neil

Today's Sunday Politics show with Andrew Neil was a revelation, no sorry scrub that, it was diabolical and downright appalling inhumane festering garbage.

You would have to be on Mars to have missed the BBC imploding before our very eyes, or the prime minister, David Cameron and others indulging in overt displays of public hand wringing, angst and "moral outrage" over Philip Schofield's supposed ambush of Cameron on Live morning TV. If there was a gold medal for showing moral indignation then David Cameron would be wearing that medal round his fat neck now, he played his part well.
The cause of this indignation was as we all now know (although didn't at the time) the mistaken identity of Lord McAlpine. The odd thing is that Lord McAlpine seems to have taken this well reacted and cleared the matter up without once reverting to Cameron's faux displays of anger etc. The man most to lose seems to understand the awful dark place Mr Steve Messham has resided in for 20 years, not so our prime minister, who decided to carry out an ambush all of his own and hijack Lord McAlpine's dignity and cash in on it for a few cheap political points.

That is the background. This morning on Sunday Politics Andrew Neil first decided to try and humiliate the Labour Deputy Leader, Harriet Harman and tried to attack Tom Watson MP and Deputy chairman of the Labour party, through Ms Harman. Mr Watson's crime? Was a couple of weeks ago to ask the Prime Minister a question in the House about a paedophile ring connected to a previous government, like the BBC, like Mr Messham, Like the Newsnight programme, Mr Watson did NOT name names. Please read here Mr Watson's account. Apparently Mr Neil doesn't seem to think that Mr Watson should ask these questions because he is Deputy Chairman of the Labour party! However, Mr Watson was told something which he reported to the House and the PM and the police, one suspects that if he did none of these things and something untoward had happened Neil would have then attacked him for not asking the questions! In any case, Andrew Neil seemed more intent on blaming Watson for all the ills fallen on the PM and the BBC, he more or less inferred this when questioning Harriet Harman. Ms Harman responded several times by actually telling Andrew Neil that this matter had been reported to the police so was not in a position to speak about it, but Neil was having none of that. Ms Harman finished with saying that whatever happens we cannot have politicians influencing broadcast decisions or that which is published in the press and she is right! However, perhaps someone ought to tell David Cameron and BBC Trust Chairman, Tory Peer Lord Chris Patten that, because having a non partisan BBC seems to have escaped them both!

David Mellor
The Harman interview passed and then appears David Mellor the former MP and Conservative minister and former Tory Chief secretary to the Treasury and National Heritage Secretary in John Major's government. he was forced to resign as a minister after a series of sordid scandals and questionable freebies in 1992. He was an MP until 1997 when he left parliament.

Today this obnoxious turd of man surpassed himself, when he said live on BBC TV on the Andrew Neil Sunday Politics show that a man who had been raped and sexually abused all his childhood while supposed in the care of the state in a children's home was "a weirdo" Mellor also poured scorn on this man's testament about alleged police involvement. The basis he alleges this was a story that appeared in the Daily Mail attacking this victim of child sexual abuse. Andrew Neil chose to allow Mellor's comments to go unchallenged and said absolutely nothing - astonishing! The harm this could cause victims of abuse who all fear they will not be believed should they pluck up enough courage to tell is immeasurable!

On reading the report in the Mail, I became very angry on the behalf of Mr Messham, there is nothing in that story that does not fit in with the way survivors and those affected by childhood sexual abuse sometimes react to certain situations. In fact I think this story in itself should be reported to the Press Complaints Committee. It makes much about Messham being charged with fraud, however read on and you find he is acquitted, so in that case why mention it? Why would the BBC report this when Messham was acquitted? There was absolutely no need to. From reading this story it becomes clear that Mr Messham is a victim not only of childhood sexual abuse, he is also a victim of a political and legal cover-up. He wrongly identified Lord McAlpine because he was shown a picture of Lord McAlpine and was told by police that this was the man who abused him. The onus should now fall on the police to root out who told Mr Messham this and discover why he was told this. I would hazard a guess that one way of shutting victims of abuse up is to totally confuse them and if they do tell make what they are saying appear like a pack of lies or fantasies. What better way of doing this then telling a victim the wrong name? How many times did this go on? How many times has this man and others been deliberately confused to make their statements appear not credible?  Turning them into "unreliable" witnesses?

I believe what Mr Messham is saying and he must be listened to and what he says fully investigated, this man has suffered enough and this witness tampering must stop and it must stop now! Mr Messham is not the only one to be made to appear like this, there are a great many other damaged people, victims of childhood sexual abuse when placed in a children's home, they were mentally, physically and sexually abused by many of the people charged with caring for them and protecting them and when they reported it they were not believed. They were refused permission to tell their stories in a court of law because of the deliberately narrow confines of the Inquiry set up by the then Conservative Welsh Secretary, William Hague. One survivor of such abuse at the same Bryn Estyn Children's Home is Keith Gregory, who reports to this very day he can hear the screams and cries of the children placed in that care.

David Mellor and Andrew Neil may want to whitewash over this, but I and the majority of others will not allow it to happen. I believe that David Mellor should be sacked from his job at LBC because apparently he repeated the same insensitive rubbish on there and I also believe that Andrew Neil should receive an official warning for his crass behaviour on his show today, that wasn't journalism it was using victims, the vulnerable as punch bags to do what David Cameron has been doing all week, to try and divert attention away from the true story.

Cameron Gets Entwistles's Scalp

Ding Ding - seconds out - Round 4

David Cameron and his faux moral outrage have managed to get the BBC Director General, George Entwistle's scalp. Of course Entwistle was helped on his way by Tory peer Lord Chris Patten, who along with David Cameron placed him into the post in the first place. (Anyone who doesn't believe Cameron had anything to do with this doesn't understand the situation.)

Following the controversy of the handling of the BBC and Jimmy Savile scandal, which did not happen under his watch, yet must have totally prevented him from doing his job, and the latest scandal to hit the BBC over their flagship programme Newsnight, George Entwistle, the new Director General of the BBC resigned late yesterday night.

Entwistle, who is rumoured to be the "son Chris Patten never had", must be pretty pissed at his "daddy" this morning. Perhaps he has now learned a severe lesson, *never trust a Tory politician*! They will do to you exactly what they what they need to do in order to save their own political necks. This is what just happened to Entwistle.

Personally I believe the Newsnight scandal was deliberately blown up completely out of proportion in order to make the Prime Minister, David Cameron look good. You could see him when doing his pieces to camera - lapping it all up!

Cameron is bombing in the polls and in some polls on personal rating Ed Miliband has overtaken Cameron, so Cameron is desperate to make himself look good. He can't do that by sacking his own errant ministers because he is far to weak a and too incompetent a prime minister to do all that, yet he can do it by giving Tory MP Nadine Dorries the sack for appearing in a TV reality programme, while failing to sack Jeremy Hunt who deliberately misled parliament and Andrew Mitchell who abused police protection officers in the street. Not forgetting the saga and scandal over Liam Fox, Peter Cruddas, Lady Warsi (and many others) and rewarding an ex minister David Laws with a job back into Government after he swindled £60,000 from the taxpayer on the pretext that he was gay and didn't want his family to find out!

So the "gift" of Newsnight and the half baked Philip Schofield so called "ambush" was manner from Heaven for Cameron, it allowed him to put on this overt display of "moral outrage" and completely hijack the very genuine and real concerns of Lord McAlpine for his own political ends. If Cameron thinks the public will fall for this then he is very much mistaken! Meanwhile while all this faux moral outrage with the hideous display of the equally false indignation put on by Cameron is diverting attention away from the real victims in all of this, those affected by the heinous abuse they suffered at the hands of a high profile paedophile ring operating in North Wales.

Cameron said that he does not want a witch hunt towards gay people! The fact that there was never one in the first place, doesn't seem to bother him, however, what a pity he could not show the same "moral outrage" towards his government and previous Tory government's shoddy treatment and witch hunt of those who have suffered hideously in all of this - the true victims of child abuse, those being incredibly strong and brave at the moment who are waiving their anonymity to try and make sure this doesn't happen to others.

What a pity Cameron cannot show the same indignation and moral outrage towards his government's witch hunt that his own Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan-Smith is coordinating against the disabled in this country.

Pity he didn't show his "moral outrage" at the Daily Express headline last week that tried to start a witch hunt aimed at those families genuinely claiming benefits, it was *SHODDY JOURNALISM* so where is the Tory controlled government's "moral outrage" over this? Or is it because this is a witch hunt designed in 10 Downing Street?

This is what Prime Minister, David Cameron and his pal Tory peer Lord Chris Patten are doing each and everytime they try and divert attention away from themselves. Cameron parachuted Patten into his position of BBC Trust Chairman and in turn they parachuted George Entwistle in to be what they thought would be another safe pair of Tory hands. Now their slowly slowly catchee monkey politicisation of the BBC is being exposed for what it is.

The acting Director General is a Tim Davies, Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide and former senior marketer at PepsiCo.
When Andrew Lansley was Health Secretary, he courted publicity by putting fast food companies and drinks companies at the centre of writing government policy on obesity, alcohol and diet related disease, said by campaign groups to be the equivalent asking the tobacco industry to write the government's smoking policy, one of those companies was PepsiCo.

It seems that no matter what this Tory controlled government does, or who it appoints, it cannot keep its tentacles out of the sleaze.

Let's see which closet Tory Cameron and Patten can find to be the next Director General of the BBC. They should remember however, that this mess is the kind of mess you get when you try to politicise an institution like the BBC and if this is the kind of mess we have to look forward to as the Conservatives politicise the police service in the form of elected police commissioners, and privatise our NHS and privatise our armed forces -  then God help us!

The Conservative Government, The BBC & Child Abuse Investigations

Isn't amazing just how quick the Tory led government have been to jump on the BBC to try and expose them as incompetent? Too quick in my opinion! The Tories hope the report commissioned by George Entwistle which is to be "on his desk on Sunday", helps to sort this mess out - Oh the delicious irony of those words. It wasn't that long ago that David Cameron announced within minutes of Jeremy Hunt, the then Culture Secretary (which would have covered the BBC) giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry, that he would not order an Inquiry into Hunt's behaviour with the disgraced media tycoon Rupert Murdoch. Cameron went on to refuse to ask outright for an investigation by Sir Alex Allan, the Independent Adviser on Minister's Interests into Hunt's behaviour and Allan decided that no investigation was necessary, even though Hunt was guilty of misleading parliament and not declaring his role into News Corporation's bid to control BSkyB and followed evidence that was submitted to Leveson that Hunt was pro-bid and had texted messages of support to Rupert and James Murdoch on the day Hunt was handed responsibility for the bid. Jeremy Hunt far from being punished for his probable favourable interference in the BSkyB bid has been promoted to Health Secretary! One hopes he will do a better job that Kenneth Clark when he was Health Secretary, when Jimmy Savile was give the keys to Broodmoor!

This is yet another omnishambles concerning this Conservative government, they cannot get anything right and anything they touch, or have dealings with always seems to end in complete shambles, farce and total mayhem. It very much appears that the Tory controlled coalition government are now in the process of playing the "morally outraged" over concernbs with the BBC and ITV presenter Philip Schofield who infamously tried to hand David Cameron a list of names and he inadvertently held it at the wrong camera angle. (The same thing that caught out former BBC DG Mark Thompson). Whether Newsnight or Schofield are wrong or right is not really the issue, the real issue is that this has allowed the Government to cause an enormous smokescreen and bury any amount of bad news and worse of all, the victims of this abhorrent child abuse scandal are once again being sidelined, this time by the Tory led government.

Soon after becoming PM, the then Director General of the BBC Mark Thompson was forced to defend the broadcaster's position when he was photographed entering Downing Street to attend a meeting to discuss a season of radio and TV programmes about the government's spending cuts holding a clutch of notes and an internal email from the BBC's News Director, Helen Boaden. The email entitled ""Briefing for Steve Hilton meeting"" revealed that Boaden had had lunch with Andy Coulson (the PMs former Director of Communications who was forced to resign under a cloud) and that he (Coulson) had expressed concern that the BBC "give context to our [the BBC's] spending review season". One legitimate question could be why on earth was the BBC Director General attending a meeting with Steve Hilton (the PMs then Director of strategy who has also disappeared under a cloud)? One BBC insider has asked "what the fuck is he [Mark Thompson] doing seeing Hilton anyway? Management and editorial should be kept separate", yes they should, so why did this happen?

Soon after that meeting the BBC pulled a logo of a giant pair of scissors that was to accompany their series of programmes about Government spending cuts and also the Government applied pressure to the BBC to have the word "cut" replaced by "savings" wherever possible and the BBC is still following government instructions.

After Andy Coulson was forced to resign under a cloud, the Prime Minister hired the former news editor of the BBC's flagship News at 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock programmes, Craig Oliver, as his head of Communications (spin doctor). Craig Oliver is said to telephone his former colleagues in the BBC newsroom several times a day - why?

In 2011 David Cameron  appointed Conservative Peer, Lord Patten to become Chairman of the BBC Trust.

Now George Entwistle who is reported to be like the son the BBC Chairman Conservative Peer, Lord Patten never had has replaced Mark Thompson as Director General.

The BBC has journalists and presenters like the Tory sycophants Nick Robinson and Andrew Marr who routinely give every Tory minister and MP an easy ride, while interrogating Labour MPs to within an inch of their lives, it should be the other way around as the Tories form the government, instead they are allowed to get away with making grossly misleading statements.

In just 2½ years the BBC seems to have gone from a worldwide respected broadcasting corporation to a 3rd rate amateur current affairs flick on YouTube.

This is what happens when the government interfere in what is being broadcast on news and current affairs programmes.

Like everything they else this Tory led government interferes with, they have now managed to corrupt and ruin the BBC reducing it to a completely shambolic laughing stock across the world.

Sensing a bandwagon to jump on and welcome relief from the media spotlight focusing on Conservative and coalition troubles, the Government have come down upon the BBC like a ton of bricks demanding an Inquiry into the BBC's handling and involvement with the Jimmy Savile scandal and why a programme planned by Newsnight which was to expose the scandal was pulled. (This was when Mark Thompson was BBC Director General) we even had another BBC flagship programme Panorama investigating the BBC's Newsnight. Newsnight were criticised for pulling that programme about the Jimmy Savile and paedophila, and now they have been vilified for airing a programme about child abuse in a children's home in Wales. Damned if they do and damned if they don't! But it's their own fault for consistently allowing lines to be blurred between government and the functioning of the BBC.

After the Jimmy Savile Newsnight and tribute saga, you would think that the BBC Director General, George Entwistle, would have been all over the Newsnight programme like a rash, yet he denies even knowing this programme was going out?! Why didn't he know it was going out? It was all over Twitter, why didn't his aids tell him?

Entwistle now claims that he has already taken disciplinary action, and that more will follow, yet the decision to broadcast Newsnight went right up to senior board level and still and the programme went out, albeit the name was withheld. As a viewer I can see that a few mistakes were made with this broadcast 1)..Why wasn't Mr Messham shown a photograph of Lord McAlpine and 2)..Why didn't journalists on the Newsnight programme approach Lord McAlpine and speak to him before airing the programme?

So what was Newsnight actually guilty of? I saw the programme and as a lay person, I understood that Newsnight were exposing the inadequacies of the original Inquiry. Newsnight did *not* name names, although they did make reference to a senior figure associated with the then Conservative Government.

The rumblings continue about the Jimmy Savile scandal, but that scandal isn't just the BBC's, it is our political establishment's and the NHS too. Anyone who wants to blame this entirely on the BBC (and others) is probably a Conservative politician, trying to escape the wrath of the public when is descends (and descend it will). I name the Conservative party, because as with any other major scandal, it always seems to emanate from when they were in power. This could be because they were in power from 1979 to 1997 and 18 years is a long time to escape a major scandal and we all know that the Tories had enough of their own scandals during that time, however, it all comes down to this one simple thing - it's how a government or a political party handles events that separates them from others, and as we have seen, ever since the Tories came to power under the guise of the coalition government, ludicrously propped up and kept in place by a supposed left wing party of nob heads (Liberal Democrats), they have handled every single drama excruciatingly badly and turned it into a full blown crisis.

I never blogged about the paedophile accusations now engulfing the Conservative party and I certainly would not name the names that I have seen. I know the internet, anything can be written by anybody and this doesn't make it true. I try to keep my comments this side of the truth.. My sympathies go to Lord McAlpine and his family, I would not wish that to happen to anyone, not even a Tory and fortunately Steven Messham was brave enough and man enough to admit his error and set the record straight. It was not Mr Messham's fault, it was a case of mistaken identity going back years, and that fact that it happened at all, is just another nail hammered home in the incompetent coffin that was the deliberately narrow Inquiry that was ordered by the then Conservative Welsh Secretary, William Hague in 1996, to be led by the now late Justice Sir Ronald Waterhouse. The Inquiry reported to the then Labour Welsh Secretary, Paul Murphey MP in  2000 and was Known as the "Lost in Care Report". The remit and scope of the Inquiry ordered by Hague was so narrow that it effectively bound Justice Waterhouse QC and restricted what he could allow in court and did not permit victims to tell their stories in full, or to name names, had this been allowed at the time, the case of mistaken identity of Lord McAlpine, may never have happened because the error could have been picked up at source and quickly dealt with. Mr Messham has suffered his whole life because of what happened to him and his story is shocking, made even more so because of the era it occurred in. He said he was shown a picture of a man by a policeman, who he identified as one of his abusers and was told by police officer that this man was Lord McAlpine. Checking up on who is who at the time was not an option for Mr Messham, he had to trust what the police told him was correct. Mr Messham also remembers exactly who the police officer was who held him up against the wall and threatened him if he exposed anyone else.

The John Jillings report could have helped clarify this situation now between Newsnight  Mr Messham and Lord McAlpine, however, the report was shredded apparently on the say-so of Clywd Council insurers who feared litigation and compensation. John Jillings himself has said he doesn't have a copy of his own report - why? I find this extremely worrying that a report is commissioned and then shredded so victims of abuse cannot verify their testaments to seek legal redress fro what happened to them and equally I find it astonishing that "insurers" could request that official documents be shredded, on whose say so? Does a copy of this report exist in Government archives? I find it incredulous to believe that insurers could order the destruction of an official report without the government's knowledge or the knowledge of the then Welsh Secretary, William Hague MP now Foreign Secretary's authority.  That was a legal document and the law depicts its retention for at least so many years. There are a great deal of questions still to be answered about this and this is one of them!

I think that Lord McAlpine was wronged, but why did he not make this public statement before Newsnight went out? This had been rumbling on for days prior to that. What does remain and needs to be investigated is that a man with a high profile name with connections to Wrexham and the Bryn Estyn Children's Home was named as an abuser and Mr Messham has been forced to live with this all of his adult life.

What is the undeniable truth is that there was child abuse in children's homes across Wales, the Waterhouse Inquiry concluded this and also concluded that there was a paedophile ring operating in the county of Wrexham, but because of the terms of the Inquiry laid down by the then Welsh Secretary, William Hague, it couldn't name names and because of this paedophiles have got away with the most sickening and prolific abuse.
It is also clear that children who had every right to be protected by the State, were raped and violently sexually and physically abused and mentally tortured in children's homes across the country.

What is also the truth is that in 1988 Kenneth Clarke was Secretary for State for Health and Edwina Currie was a Health Minister and under these two, Jimmy Savile was given a role at Broadmoor Maximum Security Hospital, although Kenneth Clarke is trying to pass the buck onto Currie, saying it was nothing to do with him, nevertheless Clarke was Health Secretary and it was under his watch so it had everything to do with him. The propensity to buck-pass by this Tory controlled government never ceases to astonish!

Edwina Currie's autobiography contains a chapter about Sir Peter Morrison a former Tory MP and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative party under Margaret Thatcher, Morrison was one of the first to back Thatcher for leadership of the Tories, In the chapter Currie tells all that Morrison who died in 1995 aged 51 was
" a noted pederast, with a liking for young boys" Apparently Morrison’s “liking for young boys” was common knowledge. Currie expresses her worry saying “all the press know” and when Morrison became deputy chairman of the party he even referenced the fact people knew, joking: “I’m very discreet“.
It is alleged that Morrison had sex with boys aged 16, and although the age of consent has lowered from 21 to 16, Currie reaffirms “Was he doing anything illegal? Almost certainly.”   Political Scrapbook
According to an article by Nick Davies in the Guardian in 1998 entitled "The sheer scale of sexual abuse in Britain"

"The fact that the sexual abuse of children is so hidden is not entirely the result of the age its victims. This is also a crime of conspiracy, of the abuse of power and, from time to time, of incidents which suggest that a paedophile with prestige may be more likely to escape justice than a more humble offender.
For example, police now invest relatively little time in the surveillance of public toilets where gay men go cottaging. The one thing that is likely still to trigger such an operation is a complaint that under-aged boys are involved – unless, that is, the toilets in question happen to be those behind the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand, in which case, under the terms of a long-standing Metropolitan Police policy, the operation will take place only if it has the approval of an officer of the rank of commander or above. According to experienced London officers, the reason is that those toilets are used by High Court judges and barristers, and the Metropolitan Police have always said they do not want to encounter such a powerful offender without special authority.
Fleet Street routinely nurtures a crop of untold stories about powerful abusers who have evaded justice. One such is Peter Morrison, formerly the MP for Chester and the deputy chairman of the Conservative Party. Ten years ago, Chris House, the veteran crime reporter for the Sunday Mirror, twice received tip-offs from police officers who said that Morrison had been caught cottaging in public toilets with underaged boys and had been released with a caution. A less powerful man, the officers complained, would have been charged with gross indecency or an offence against children.
At the time, Chris House confronted Morrison, who used libel laws to block publication of the story. Now, Morrison is dead and cannot sue. Police last week confirmed that he had been picked up twice and never brought to trial. They added that there appeared to be no trace of either incident in any of the official records."

I am wondering why the government have made such song and dance of this whole affair and why they allowed the Philip Schofield incident to be v blown up out of all proportion, completely diverting attention away from the victims, who are once again being sidelined? Is this government trying to conceal anything?

I don't trust the police to investigate themselves and I don't trust David Cameron, who has been found lying repeatedly.

Is the Conservative controlled government trying to make it virtually impossible for TV and newspapers to accurately tell the story of what really went on in our children's homes and if so why?

The Conservative controlled government need to learn that this is the kind of unholy mess that gets created when governments, prime ministers and MPs play politics with one of the country's best known institutions, the BBC. It gets murky, messy and people start to think and wonder if the government are trying to force the press, TV and other concerned individuals into silence.

The Conservative government have played politics with the BBC right from the start of their administration under the guise of the coalition government. They have forced the BBC to report only what the Conservative led government are doing and only in the style they want them reported on and to portray them in a good light. When the country was losing its NHS and the Health & Social care Bill was being voted on, the BBC reported very little, if anything much at all. Yet the NHS is dear to us in this country and massive changes were being forced upon it and the BBC hardly reported on it, they barely mentioned it was even going through parliament or the Lords.Whatever else the BBC is or isn't anymore, what has become clear is that it has been infiltrated by the Conservative government who have parachuted Conservative supporters into key positions and those people appear to be having a massive influence on what gets reported, how it gets reported and why it gets reported. Probably when it comes out we will discover that the government were also behind why the Savile Newsnight programme was pulled. Up to date, no one has yet admitted they asked for that programmed to be pulled, so who was it?

If trust and integrity is an issue for the BBC then it is also an issue for David Cameron and his Tory controlled coalition government. Never before has the BBC been in such rough waters, but then never before has it had David Cameron and this government trying to control everything from inside and outside. But the crimes against children surely must eclipse everything and everyone, but do they?

It is said that sexual abuse of children is a special crime, not only because it seriously damages its victims, nor even because it provoked anger and fear in whole communities, but because it is easy - an easy offence to commit and an easy offence to get away with. With the "moral outrage" and fuss the government are causing (leaving aside Lord McAlpine who can defend himself and fight his own battles), they are making it easy once again for the offenders, the paedophiles of so much harm and sickening damage that has ruined countless lives to get clean away with their crimes, again. I simply ask: "Why"?

  •  Why are the victims of these heinous crimes ignored time and time again?
  • Why are the people, the social workers and the whistleblowers who work tirelessly to expose these criminals often punished and their findings covered-up (as with the shredding of the Jillings Report)
  • Why is there so much secrecy and corruption leading to the very heart of the British government?
  • Why has the Home secretary, Theresa May ordered the police to investigate possible police involvement?
  • Why wont the prime Minister and Home Secretary hold one super Inquiry which could oversee all the other Inquires ensuring that all findings are logged and reported and coordinated?

And why now after everything is the Tory controlled government creating one mother of a smokescreen diverting attention away from where it should rightfully be - with the victims?

The victims must be heard, perpetrators must be named and those responsible must be punished and compensation must be paid to the victims for the huge amount of damage it has caused them in their lives and recognition of their suffering and the cover-up must be fully acknowledged. It wont change much in their lives, but at least they can rest easier that people have been brought to justice for what they did.

I can still hear the children screaming and crying - Keith Gregory.

WHY MR CAMERON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
WHY DO YOU APPEAR TO BE TRYING TO COVER THIS UP
AGAIN?

Another Day Another Broken Tory Promise!

What a difference between two Prime Ministers Brown and Cameron.

The former Labour prime minister, Gordon Brown had to respond to serious flooding just two days after becoming prime minister in 2007 (this was in conjunction with being faced with two unexploded car bombs in London and the Glasgow airport bomb).

2007 - Mr Brown visited the areas hit South Yorkshire that were hit by the floods.
 Mr Brown said:
"I would like to pay tribute to the heroic efforts of those who have responded to the floods locally."The emergency and rescue services, local authorities, Environment Agency, voluntary sector and individual members of the public have been brave and determined in what are very distressing circumstances."I am taking immediate action to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the floods by announcing a £14 million package of support to get people back on their feet as quickly as possible."Government will continue to work closely with local councils and communities as we do everything possible to help."
It includes £10 million for local authorities to support recovery work, including getting people who have lost everything back on their feet.
Another £3 million will go towards repairing roads and bridges and a £1 million contingency fund has been set up to help replace essential household items for vulnerable individuals and their families.

2009 - Mr Brown visits Workington and Cockermouth in Cumbria and promises £1 million to hep with the immediate affects of the floods,m which swept away flood defences built only 4 years earlier.

After the flooding an estimated £1 billion worth of damage was caused by extensive flooding in 2000, a deal was struck between the then Labour government and insurance industry.

Insurers agreed to continue to cover the majority of customers living in areas prone to flooding in exchange for government promises to strengthen flood defences. However, this deal is due to expire next year and no replacement scheme has yet been finalised.
The Council of Mortgage Lenders has warned that the uncertainty over the future arrangements for insuring homes in flood prone areas was likely to push up premiums.
In a statement to MPs last July, Mrs Spelman said she was close to reaching a new deal with the insurance industry.
It is now November and nothing has been done to help or to tackle the problem of insurance in flood hit areas.

Mary Creagh MP, Labour's Shadow Environment Secretary, responding to today’s warning by the Environment Agency and Met Office that more flooding is due over the winter months, said:
"Flood risk is the biggest threat we face from climate change, yet this incompetent Tory-led Government has cut investment in flood defences by 30 per cent and broken their promise to get a deal on flood insurance by July 2012.  Today’s warning that winter flooding is likely shows that Government Ministers needs to get a grip and get a deal on flood insurance."
Is cutting investment into flood defences by 30% and not getting a deal with insurance companies what David Cameron had  in mind when he promised to help families who had lost everything in flood stricken areas?

This is what Eric Pickles said in July 2012.

THE Government has said it will look “sympathetically” at requests for money to help Tyneside councils continue the recovery after last week’s flooding.

Councils already facing swingeing cuts from central Government
were left facing broken roads, damaged schools and customer service centres – having already had to cut budgets following two years of Government spending reductions.

David Cameron said Government would be very generous to flood hit areas.

In actual fact that is what he made it look like he said, but what he actually said was this:

The Prime Minister has told MPs that he has asked the communities and local government department to be 'generous' with their help to people trying to get their lives back together again after last week's flash flooding.Mr Cameron said ministers should lend a 'very sympathetic ear' to those councils and other organisations who were setting up hardship funds for victims who either had no insurance or were under insured. He was responding to the North West Durham MP ,Pat Glass, who saw her home village of Lanchester badly affected.

Not quite the same thing was it? I live in hope that one David Cameron will actually keep a promise he has made. I bet those that were affected by floods in 2007 and 2009 were mightily glad they had Gordon Brown as PM and not this bungling incompetent lying buffoon David Cameron! He wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on his spreading behind!

Left Wing Blogs Attacked

Yesterday and last night this blog and other left wing blogs were attacked, when people tried to enter them they were met with a messages telling them they were not safe.
Please be reassured this blog is virus free, Google have very stringent barriers in place and the appropriate steps have been taken.

It is really strange that all these left wing blogs were attacked at the same time as the paedophile story linking directly with the Conservative party and a former Tory PM, was aired on BBC Newsnight.

Obviously someone somewhere doesn't want us speaking out or telling the truth, I will carry on exposing it where I find it.

I leave you to make your own minds up about it, meanwhile, keep reading.

Denis MacShane Forced To Resign Over £12,900 - David Laws Steals £60,000 and Is Given A Job in Government

What complete fools these MPs can be. Whatever you think of the expenses scandal and it angers me as much as all of us, this was a totally stupid thing to do. Why oh why oh why Mr MacShane? Why on earth did you do it? Hopefully when the furore has died down people will remember the good things you did, but at the moment most are very angry and others like me are angry and sad at the same time and feel let down.

The son of a Polish father and Irish mother, Denis MacShane is the Catholic MP and fought anti-Semitism. He campaigned relentlessly for jobs, higher wages and vastly improved public services and better pensions. Yesterday it all came to a very sad end, years and years of work and campaigning for people and his constituents came to an abrupt halt and he was suspended from parliament for one year with no pay, effectively ending his 18 year career.

The Labour MP for Rotherham and former European Minister, ran into trouble with his expense claims back in 2009 when all the other MPs did, these are not new claims. He genuinely regrets his crass stupidity, not just be cause he was caught, but because this will allow the loathsome BNP to claim a victory, even though it has nothing to do with them, this will hurt MacShane as he has stood firm against racism right in the face of the vile BNP, where he hasn't flinched against their tirade of abuse. For now this will end his campaign against injustice and racism, hopefully in the future he will be able to pick that mantle up again and fight just as hard, if not harder than ever before against this vile ugliness of racial hatred that will destroy our society if we allow it to.
He made 19 false claims totaling £12,900, this included the cost of 8 laptops for his interns which he allowed them to keep, the rest of the claims were spent indirectly doing his job travelling around Europe. The Cross Parliament Standards Committee accepted that Mr MacShane did not benefit personally from his claims. He has repaid the cash. At the time he made the claims he was going through years of pain and distress, his daughter was killed in a sky diving accident, his marriage broke up and his daughter''s mother died, he may have been affected greatly by depression and events in his life and the balance of his mind disturbed, let us not be too quick to judge.

Yesterday he said:
"In light of the decision to uphold the BNP complaint about expenses claimed in connection with my parliamentary work in Europe and in combating anti-Semitism, I have decided, for the sake of my wonderful Rotherham constituency and beloved Labour party, to resign as an MP. - "I love the House of Commons and I hope by resigning I can serve by showing MPs must take responsibility for their mistakes and accept the consequences of breaching House of Commons rules".
His decision came after Ed Miliband suspended him from the Labour party. Mr MacShane has made the right decision for his constituency, for parliament, and for the Labour party. He and Ed Miliband are right in the decisions they have made, no matter what the sums involved, we cannot have one rule for MPs and another for everyone else. His resignation will trigger a by election in the near future.

Mr MacShane's resignation was the only credible option and he took it, the public remain extremely angry about the expense scandal and while so many people are struggling to make ends meet it will remain a contentious issue.

However, the public are going to be very confused about these two cases, where is the parity and fairness in these two decisions?

Parliamentary Standards watchdogs saw fit to suspend MacShane for a year with no pay, over £12,900 expenses which they accept he did not gain personally from.

The same Parliamentary Standards watchdogs decided to suspend David Laws for just 7 DAYS for cheating the taxpayer out of over what is now known to total of £60,000 which he and his gay lover gained personally from.

Denis MacShane has mitigating circumstances of the death of his daughter, his marriage breakdown and the death of his daughter's mother, this kind of thing can and frequently does upset the balance of one's mind and can be a reason why people act out of character. However, the committee did not accept this. MacShane used the £12,900 to part fund his trips to Europe in the capacity of his work and he gave his interns the laptops, he did not gain personally.

David Laws put forward as mitigating circumstances that he was a secret homosexual, living with his partner which he did not want his family to discover. The committee must have known that the so called "secret" of Mr Laws homosexuality was not a secret in Westminster, everyone knew, yet the committee accepted this. Even if this were true and he did not want his family to discover his sexual preferences, why on earth should they? How would they know what David Laws claimed in expenses? Does his family trawl through his expense claims? I find this incredulous.
John Lyons said that Laws broke 6 rules, and suspended him for just 7 days for serious and substantial breaches of parliamentary standards, but said that there was no evidence that he did out of personal gain for himself and his partner?  Rubbish! Absolute complete and utter rubbish! Of course he and his partner personally gained out of having over £60,000 paid off their mortgage and towards their household expenses, who does Lyons thinks gained then, the church mice?

At least Denis MacShane had the integrity and decency to fall on his own sword, not so David Laws, he was forced to resign his new job as Secretary to the Treasury, but refused to resign as an MP and during his time supposedly outside Government, we later learn that he has been kept close and in the loop and as soon as he was able, David Cameron brought him back into the Government as an Education Minister. Great now we have a thief having contact with our children and Cameron placed him there!

This Tory led government have come down so hard on people they say are cheating the system inferring that genuine people on benefits are "cheats, layabouts, scroungers" and that the genuinely disabled are "malingerers" etc. Many are dying as a result and French company, Atos have fraudulently won a government contract, but nothing apparently can stop this bent government from doing what it wants, or treating us any way they want. Read the tragic story of Kieran age just 13, who claims Atos killed his sick dad. This is the kind of government we are living with in Tory Britain 2012, one rule for them and another for us.

If an ordinary person was found guilty of claiming housing benefit when they knew they were not entitled to it as they were cohabiting, and it went to court and they used as an excuse for mitigating circumstances that it was because they were gay and they did not want their family to find out, do you think that "excuse" would hold sway with a judge? No of course it wouldn't, they would be found guilty and sent to prison. David Laws claimed board and lodging for a room in his partner's house (which was a lie because he was cohabiting) he knew he was cohabiting and he still claimed knowing it was wrong, he gained personally from this money and so did his partner. If the taxpayer had not coughed up for his so called "rented" room in his lover's house, then he would have had to pay his lover out of his own bank account and that is gaining personally. The fact is that David Laws a former banker who made millions in the City is a multi-millionaire and he need not have claimed a penny and he wouldn't have even felt it, the fact is that he is greedy and the more money people like Laws have, the more they want. He is greedy, grasping and grabbing just like his Tory doning bankster chums in the City who brought this country to ruin and who helped other banksters in other countries bring the global economy to ruin, and they are still getting richer with their fatcat salaries and fatcat bonuses, and they are still trying to blame the former Labour government for what they [the banksters] did to the global economy, while we the poor people are struggling to pay for it all, with cuts to our standard of living, our jobs, our children's futures, our public services etc - one rule for the, and another for us!

Denis MacShane did wrong but at least he acted and did the right thing, and is now suffering as a result, his career is over and somehow because of his own stupidity he has to try and rebuild his shattered life. I for one am not going to take pleasure out of that!

David Laws stole over £60,000 from the taxpayer, he resigned his cabinet job but kept on as an MP, when he should have resigned, or Nick Clegg should have sacked him and "laughingly" has now been returned to Government by Prime Minister David Cameron!

Just goes to show, it is not what you know but who you know. MacShane may have done wrong, but so did  Laws and even more so, so why is the difference in the treatment of MacShane and Laws so completely different?
Two wrongs do not make a right and that's true, however, what we should expect that each person is treated equally and fairly and they are not.

I also stand back in total amazement at the way the Tories are taking the moral high ground here and trying to make things even worse for MacShane, while all the while knowing that their prime minister and leader of the Tory party has just:

All this and so much more not even touching on the shady deals and goings on between private health companies, shadow banks and their lobbyists and the Tory party and this Tory led government.
And the Tories have the brass neck to go for Denis MacShane? They beggar belief, they really do, hypocrites. There is also a link of an elite paedophile ring leading directly to a former Tory PM, yet once again the Tory governed BBC Newsnight have succumbed to political pressure and failed to name the person, even though they have a witness who has bravely waived his anonymity who will testify to what he said this Tory grandee did to him when he was an underage child living in a children's home - the BBC and Newsnight in particular did this before with Jimmy Savile and now they are doing it again. The Tories are not only turning this country into a laughing stock, they are also turning the BBC into a laughing stock.

The Tories are not telling us that along with Labour they had Lords and MPs who have served time for fiddling their expenses (quite rightly so), it seems to have escaped their attention. It also escapes their attention that while Labour MPs get severely punished, Tory and Lib Dem MPs who make up the government get away with it all! We do not want preference, we want fairness, if we do not have that, where does that leave parliament and our judicial system?

The difference in the way in which David Cameron and Ed Miliband have handled such matters is strikingly clear, while the prime minister compounded his actions, showing his appalling weakness, lack of leadership, poor judgement, favouritism and 'nepotism' and tries to cling on to his disgraced MPs and ministers and even brings them back into government as soon as he can (when will Andrew Mitchell return?) By direct contrast leader of the Labour Party, Ed Miliband, shows strength of leadership, excellent judgement and no matter what whirlwind it may reap, does what he knows to be the right thing. No party leader can control their MPs and minister and cannot possibly be expected to know what they are all doing, however, the test comes when they are presented with difficulties and difficult painful decisions need to be made and Ed Miliband passes with flying colours every time, while David Cameron the Prime Minister fails comprehensively every single time exposing his lack of judgement, weakness and poor leadership, incompetence, arrogance and rank hypocrisy.

Who governs the crazy disparities of the Parliamentary Standards Committee? Or are they a rule unto themselves and the Tory MPs and the Liberal Democrat MPs effective colluded to come down so hard on MacShane, while colluding in exactly the same way to allow David Laws to get away with a far more serious breaches virtually Scott free?

Perhaps MacShane should not have said his daughter died in accident and that his long standing marriage cracked under the pressure, or that his daughter's mother also died, he should have simply said he did what he did because he was "gay and didn't want his family to find out"? Of course he isn't gay, but that would hardly matter to this committee apparently. Judging by their hypocritical and gross unfairness of treatment between the two MPs, this would have been enough to get MacShane off (maybe only if he were a Tory or Lib Dem of course).

From the economy, to welfare, education, defence, policing, the NHS, the BBC, this hopeless, hapless incompetent shower of crooks are totally ruining this country and now they are in the process of turning the "Mother of all Parliaments into a joke too.

Another day & Another Tory Hurls Abuse At The Public - Boris Johnson and "Tossergate"

London Mayor, Boris Johnson paid a visit to Bristol yesterday and met with a little "local difficulty". he was heckled by a few Occupy Bristol protesters. He has been a politician for many years, he knows heckling goes with the job but instead of just ignoring them he retaliated, proving he has a very thin skin under all the bluster and buffoonery displays he puts on for the public.

In the following clip the mayor can be heard twice calling the protesters "scum" he then turned around and shouted back at them "lefty tossers".

Gone were the trademark "cheerfulness" and "bonhomie" that Johnson has carefully cultivated and here we got a glimpse of the real Johnson, the one that plotted with his friend Darius Guppy to have a journalist beaten up his eyes blacked and his ribs cracked for crossing them.
Read about it at the Independent newspaper: HERE and listen to the audio at Ch 4: HERE

It's Johnson's hypocrisy that never fails to impress! During the Andrew Mitchell #plebgate affair. In his 2011 speech to Tory conference he also said that if people swear at the police then they should be arrested. Perhaps Johnson and former Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell should be arrested for swearing in public at protesters and the police?

On his trip to Bristol, where he had gone to offer support for the Conservative candidate in the coming Police Commissioner elections, Johnson discovered a home truth; that he isn't as popular outside London as he and his Tory supporters seem to think he is, and it hit home and he did not like it.

Johnson won the London Mayoralty by a very small margin, this was after paper the London Evening Standard and its free metro version put out a mini party political adverts on behalf of Johnson every single day it as published. Grossly unfair, where the Electoral Standards Commission should have intervened but stayed mute! They accused Ken Livingstone of acting illegally by not declaring some tax affairs, yet they kept quiet about the Tory transport minister who criticised Livingstone for avoiding tax payments while using the same loophole himself and not declaring it to parliament. As usual here is an yet another Tory who insist on Labour and us doing one thing while he and the Tory party do the exact opposite! Incidentally the editor of the London Evening Standard, Sarah Sands is a close friend of bonking Boris; 'the mayor, who put the f in affair'! The friendship dates back to when she looked after his Daily Telegraph column a decade ago when she worked on the paper, this led some journalists at the title to speculate that the newspaper would more firmly embrace the Conservatives under her editorship.

Friends of Sands dispute that thinking, saying that there are no plans to return the newspaper to the strident anti-Livingstone agenda of the era of former editor Veronica Wadley. While she remains a good friend of Johnson, and in particular his wife Marina, Sands does not want the freesheet to lecture its readers. But this is what happened anyway, maybe not as much as when Veronica Wadley another "close friend" of Johnson's was editor, but is was still partisan just the same!
Winter arrived early in City Hall on Wednesday when Veronica Wadley, one of the more helpful of Boris Johnson's many media chums down the years, made acquaintance with public accountability in the form of questions from London assembly members. Wadley edited the Evening Standard throughout the 2008 mayoral election campaign that propelled Johnson to power. It was the most absurdly partisan manifestation of that newspaper ever, and its legacy was such that after a new owner brought the Wadley era to an end, one of her successor Geordie Greig's first moves was to launch an advertising campaign apologising for it.
Johnson, undeterred, ensured Wadley's subsequent elevation to the chair of the London board of the Arts Council after a long and terribly mysterious saga which only ended with the arrival of a Tory culture secretary, Jeremy Hunt, (and HERE) who took a different view from his Labour predecessor about the application of the Nolan anti-sleaze rules. The Tory mayor has now appointed Wadley to the post of Senior Adviser for Team London, Volunteering, Charities and Sponsorship. For this she will be paid £95,000 of taxpayer cash a year, though she's in the fortunate position of being able to provide her first year's labour for free. Her new job's title suggests a wide range of important activities. Would she tell Londoners all about it, please?

Which just goes to show that Tory politicians all of them from the Prime Minister down are just a bunch of lying corrupt sleaze bags.

It may not be quite so bad if we did not now know exactly what Tory minister and Tory MPs and the Tory London Mayor actually think of us, we are just:

"scum" "lefty tossers" a load of "fucking plebs" who don't "know our fucking places" and if we do not become subservient to our Tory political masters they'll have our "fucking jobs" apparently.

Well the latter is certainly true, only the Tories are to deceitful to admit that they have been manipulating the unemployment figures. If the truth were actually known unemployment has hardly fallen, (if at all) as thousands of people have been taken off of the unemployment register and forced to work for nothing on the government's Work-Fare placement and the Office National Statistics (ONS) has been forced to admit that people on all of these schemes (many thousands of them across the country) whether they are paid or not are NOT counted as unemployed. Add to that the 1.5 million part-time workers and the further million who are underemployed and not registered either, we begin to see exactly where the Tories are fiddling the unemployment statistics. It's fool's gold as they say and in the end will all underflow on them leaving us and the country in even more of mess than Cameron, Osborne and Clegg are currently making of it.

I don't know about you but I am getting sick and tired of the way in which this hideous Tory government think they can abuse us, abuse the police, lie to us and mislead us over unemployment, GDP, the NHS and goodness only knows what else!

Compassionate Conservatives? Or Cold, Cruel and Controlling?

The Conservative party under David Cameron has desperately tried to portray themselves as a kind, caring and compassionate and fit to lead this country and for while people believed them, however, it wasn't long before we realised, that the image Cameron portrayed was just that, an image!
It's all been a pack of lies right from the start, sold to us by a former PR man - David Cameron.
We have been conned, lied to, manipulated, used and abused and even been inferred to as "fucking plebs" who "don't know our fucking place" by the now former Conservative Chief Whip, Andrew Mitchell,  in an astonishing scene in the most famous street in the world; Number 10, Downing Street, where he shouted and screamed abuse at police protection officers, the public were outraged (and rightly so)!
We have looked on in anger at this Government's tissue of lies, their fecklessness and been left speechless in utter amazement as they performed u-turn after u-turn, after u-turn, after u-turn, powerless to do anything about it. Of course anyone, and every political party, and every government makes the occasional mistake, but not like this, this is just astonishing serial incompetence, it doesn't stop, it merges into day after day after day, until we haven't a clue what this Government are doing (and neither do they).

The first rule of government is its duty of care to its citizens, yet in just one of his farces, David Cameron and one of his Senior minister Cabinet secretary, Francis [Jerry Can] Maude, purely for political reasons, tried to pick a completely unwarranted and unnecessary fight with the unions and in doing so managed to panic almost the entire population causing utter chaos and confusion and panic at the pumps on filling station forecourts all over the country. One unfortunate woman who tried to decant petrol into a container for her daughter to use suffered life threatening burns when the fumes ignited turning her into a fire-ball, she is now left with extensive burns and scars and has years of treatment ahead of her. This government is dangerous and should carry a health warning!

They are just not competent, not at anything. This has to be the most incompetent government I have known in my entire life. The electorate was conned into voting for them and we were sold a pup and unfortunately some bought it!

At a time when we needed sharp people who know what they are doing, we have a bunch of out of touch, over privileged incompetents, this Conservative-led government is a complete farce who believe because of their birth status that they were born to rule us. Their astonishing arrogance knows no bounds. They appear to be living in a by-gone age where their status and money was once a right to power and an age where they could treat people they classed as beneath them, as dirt, commodities to be used and discarded when of no further use. Unfortunately this government are taking this country back to those dark days of work houses, debtors prisons, a time when working class people were destitute and or lived in overcrowded hovels with lack of hygiene facilities in squalor and poverty . Where the "under class" (us) were supposed to do as we were told and if we failed we would be thrown into prison (or worse). Where we had no voice and those who spoke up were bullied, harassed, victimised and threatened until they fell silent. If you think I am exaggerating let me tell you the story of a disabled lady who has been campaigning for disabled rights and trying to bring to the attention of the public how Atos is affecting people to the point where some are dying and others are committing suicide.

Last Friday a female disabled rights activist who is disabled herself, was alone in her flat when she was reportedly 'visited' by the South Wales police. What followed was shocking! She was intimidated, harassed and bullied, her supposed transgression? Is apparently posting comments on her Facebook page which were critical of Government cuts and specifically the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Police interrogated her and only left when they had reduced her to a sobbing hysterical wreck. She wasn't charged, but she was made to feel frightened and intimidated in her very own home where she had a right to feel safe and secure by the very people that should be able to rely on to protect her. I find this an astonishing overreaction and I also am having difficulty believing that Facebook had anything to do with this because if they didn't like what she posted they would have simply taken her comments down, warned her, and or issued a ban, so no, there has to be more to this and much more behind their actions. What I feel the big question here is: Who asked the police to visit this person and why? On what possible grounds? Was it the DWP? If so on who's say-so? The Work and Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan-Smith? One of his staff? Who? Not only does this person have a right to know, but because of the nature and complete overreaction of the police, we all have a right to know what lay behind this abomination to our freedom of speech and democracy!
I have the utmost respect for our police who do a difficult job under increasingly difficult conditions, however, who gave them the order to raid a disabled woman's home close to midnight over a weekend and for what possible reason and who told them the line of questioning that need to be taken? If they needed to speak to her, why didn't they behave rationally by contacting her and arranging a time and place for them to have a chat? Why like this?

If the Government is behind this then they need stopping and they need stopping now. The sad thing is that they could be stopped as there is one party that holds that power - the Liberal Democrats! Alas, they have turned out to be just a bunch of yellow bellied spineless, gutless cowards, who saw their one chance of being in government, took it and embraced it. Now instead of standing up for us, they aid and abet the Tories in every draconian act and at every possible chance they get. Tuition fees - trebled;  NHS-fragmented & privatised; Education - in turmoil; Railways - farcical; Defence - compromised; Police numbers - cut. Whatever incompetent hair-brained scheme the Tories have come up with the Liberal Democrats have been there by their sides ready to hold their hands and get it through parliament. Wasn't the Liberal Democrat party once supposed to be the proud party of liberty and freedom of speech and human and civil rights? So why are they so silent now when our rights are being eroded on a daily basis bu the Tory-led Government? Why have they fallen silent on the issue of this poor woman who was intimidated and scared witless by police in her very own home for simply exercising her right to free speech?

David Cameron and his government have set this country on a very very dangerous slippery road if we do nothing now, gradually all our powers and freedom and democracy will be stripped away, we will be left downtrodden, powerless and poor. This is the way controlling governments control the people, you would be forgiven for thinking that you had awoken in China, or Russia, but welcome to Tory Britain 2012.

Soon you may have a chance to vote, whether it be in council/local elections, by-elections - police commissioner elections, or even the general election (when it comes). When you do please remember what this farcical, narcissistic controlling government and their side-kicks are doing to this country and to our people, that's your family, your children, your parents, your friends, your lives and your children's and grandchildren's futures and remember what they are doing to our personal freedom, our democracy and our freedom of speech. This is not a government trying to right the country, this is not austerity, this is Conservative dominance, dogma, the actions of ideologues using austerity as a means to scare you into doing what they want you to do, this is how they are controlling you, don't take my word for it, look in the papers, research the internet, but above all remember it and when the time comes don't let them fool you again and don't vote for them, you are worth more, much more than they think you are worth!

Kick them where it will always hurt them
in the
Ballot Box!
