Storm Clouds Gather Over The White Cliffs of Dover

Friday 8th December 2011
will in time come to be known as
“Black Friday”

David Cameron had travelled to Brussels to hold meetings with other EU countries to try and thrash out a deal to help stave off the crisis which threatens the euro currency with collapse.  Cameron returned home jubilant, so jubilant, one would think he had help stop the threat to millions of British jobs which are at risk if the euro collapses, however, this wasn’t the case, what he had done was to attend that meeting and make a set of demands he knew could not be met, misused the UK’s veto and walked away from the talks not helping to settle anything and thus effectively rendering the UK completely isolated and totally impotent.

It cannot and should not be denied that Cameron was in a difficult situation, but I do not feel empathy for him, he wanted to be Prime Minister and being PM means a lot more than swanning around lapping up plaudits for other people’s efforts, it means being able to make and take tough decisions and calls when they arise and the hardest thing and the right thing for Cameron to have done  last Friday would have been to face down his right wing Eurosceptics and stayed with the other EU leaders and try to thrash out a deal to save the euro and reach a decent compromise for Britain, instead of doing this he placed his own narrow party interests and the interests of his hedge bet funding mates, venture capitalists and Tory fat-cat donors before the good of the country, this will turn out to be a catastrophic decision for the country and the beginning of the end for David Cameron’s premiership.  What Cameron did last Friday made him the toast of the rabid right wing Eurosceptics of his party and no doubt he was also heralded by his bonus loving banker chums and private equity sharks. However, for the leaders of British industry, exporters, manufacturers and commerce and long-term investors of pension funds etc., what Cameron did was absolutely shocking and appalling. This was proved by the reaction of the markets last Friday and will probably be seen again when they open on Monday morning. The irony of this is that at the last election all these groups heralded David Cameron and George Osborne as their men – how quickly they are now discovering otherwise.

By walking out of those talks David Cameron is playing with fire, by walking out and leaving the decisions to France and Germany is akin to committing economic suicide on behalf of the 99% back home in the UK. The decisions that affect our job security, our quality of life, our trade and British industry and the decision on the future of European economies will now be taken without our influence.  Be under no illusions, the decisions that will now be taken without us will have a massive impact on our economy.

France and Germany will now use QMV (qualified majority voting) to push through decisions that will affect us and our lives and we will not be at that table to stop them. So Cameron saying he done this to protect the City is nonsense, they will be affected anyway. Cameron has cut the UK adrift from our trading partners, our allies and our friends and once again the whole of Europe is looking at us as if we have a screw loose. We will become known as the “madman of Europe”. What Cameron has done is profoundly damaging and deeply dangerous to our whole way of life; the very thing that Cameron pretends he wants to “protect” will end up being irreparably damaged and unless he goes back to the EU and tries to repair some of the damage he has caused, the people that will suffer for his ridiculous pompous blindly stupid arrogance is us ordinary people.

The threat to jobs is not just in the City, but to millions all over the country, the risk is tremendous and it has been brought about by David Cameron’s fear of his party and his arrogant feckless, reckless behaviour last Friday, where he managed to undo 40 years work in just a few hours in one night.

Cameron went in there demanding concessions which he could not have accepted anyway as he had no authority to accept them they would have had to be voted on in parliament before that could happen, so in effect Cameron has placed us all in this situation for precisely nothing but his own over inflated ego and his own selfish party political interests. He did what he did to appease the right wing of his party because he was scared if he did not then they would dispose of him. Some sobering news for Cameron, Margaret Thatcher once famously said after negotiations with the EU “No – No – No”.  Margaret Thatcher was gone just five weeks later, ousted out by her own party!

I predict this is the start of the end for Cameron. The rabid right of the Conservative party are not going to allow him to go back to the EU and re-negotiate properly; very shortly they will be calling for a referendum.

Make no mistake, now the rabid right wing Tories have tasted blood, they will be satisfied with nothing else but our exit from the EU, and that's an exit at any price! The cost however, will not be paid by them, they are nearly all millionaires, no the cost will be borne by the already hard hit and squeezed ordinary folk of this country, the same people who are already buckling under the strain of Osborne and Cameron’s insane austerity measures who are forcing us to pay for the their greedy banker friends, the very people who got this country and the world into this mess in the first place and unbelievably those are the very same people who donate millions of pounds to the Tory party.

All Cameron has done is bought himself some time but that time is fast turning into just the briefest of respites.  The call for a referendum will start in earnest this coming week it will emanate from the Tory right and this will without doubt reopen all the old divisions between Eurosceptics and pro Europeans within the party and place considerable strain on the coalition government.  In effect, in abject fear of his own party Cameron himself has reopened the running sore and tracking sinus that has lain dormant just under the surface for a few years which will now erupt like a pox on the lips for all to see. Open warfare between pro and anti-Europeans will once again be declared and the longer this continues the more harm it will do to the Tories and more importantly the more it will harm this country.

Conservative pro Europeans have been strangely quiet, almost like an uneasy hush has descended over them as if they cannot quite believe what Cameron has done and what it will now mean to the Conservative party as a whole. Up until now it has been the sceptics that have all been clapping, banging their drums and shouting and whooping with joy and positively salivating as they quickly turned the talk from this one act of Cameron using the veto to one of our complete exit from the EU. By now as reality starts to bite the simmering resentment will be brewing. Once again the Tory party is split asunder.

David Cameron may like to believe himself the all-encompassing statesman of Churchllian nature, the good old “British Bulldog spirit” and all that kind of talk usually favoured by right wing zealots and the BNP, but in reality he is a complete joke. Churchill would never have "growled" at our friends and allies; Churchill would never have put this country at serious and unnecessary risk. People should remember the people that Cameron upset are not our enemies, they are our key trading partners, they are our friends and allies.

Britain does not have a proper government that much has become increasingly obvious over the past 19 months but now it is obviously we are being led by farcical egotists and the rest of the world (not just Europe) now looked upon as a joke and a laughing stock. We are a country that thinks still thinks in terms of the British Raj and British Imperialism, we are a country that appears totally unable to accept the demise of the British Empire, a country that cannot accept that we do not “Rule the Waves” because actually we never did. Britain is an enigma to true Europeans; they must scratch their heads in complete bafflement at our ridiculous childish xenophobic anti-European behaviour. If there was ever a time to use the old adage of "cut off our noses to spite our face" it is right now.

The British Prime Minister is not leading his party or the country he is just following the right wing of his party up a very dark and dead end ally. The reason he is doing this is because he is desperately afraid of it.

We also have a deputy PM, who for the life of him cannot make a decision as to where he stands on this entire issue. One minute he is giving Cameron his backing, the next he is saying he is furious with Cameron, and then the next he has gone back to his original position. Clegg is going round and round in those proverbial circles when really the decision where to stand on this particular issue of the EU and the euro should have been a simple one for Clegg, after all everyone knows and accepts his pro-European credentials, they may not agree with him, or like them very much, but we all presumably knew where he stood and he could have been respected for that at least.  However, now we can only assume that just like tuition fees, human rights and the destruction and privatisation of the NHS before, when push comes to actual shove Nick Clegg has once again acted to protect his own narrow interests of staying in government and clinging on for dear life to any remaining vestige of any power he may have thought he had in this very right wing, very Conservative government. Quite where this will leave him should he lose his Sheffield Hallam seat at the next election is unclear; one suspects that he has now scuppered his own chances of ever being anything significant in the EU after the next election. He may think he has saved the Liberal Democrats from a beating at the ballot box by preventing the coalition breaking up now, but he should not hold his breath because the chances of this coalition breaking up early have just increased a 100 fold, regardless of what Nick Clegg has done, or not done. In fact he has probably increased the thrashing his party will receive at the next election as confused Liberal Democrats view with absolute horror how their indecisive, ineffectual leader is behaving.

Education and the EU were at the heart of virtually every Liberal Democrat policy and now astonishingly they are both discarded! The fundamental basics of what makes a Liberal Democrat be a Liberal Democrat, and vote Liberal Democrat, has just vanished completely and now they are likely to lose much of the support they had managed to cling onto after Clegg insulted the protest voters last year and who then promptly disowned them and left in their droves – who is left to vote Liberal Democrat now? I suspect mainly only dye-in-the-wold Tories who live in marginal Labour – Liberal Democrat constituencies who will vote Lib Dem in order to try and keep Labour out. Nick Clegg should beware his perfidy is about to catch him out.

Meanwhile David Cameron is not standing on the White Cliffs of Dover in of defence of this nation; he is standing there wondering if he should throw himself off now or later!

What Has Cameron and the Tories Got Against Cancer Sufferers and Disabled People?

Without a doubt this so-called "compassionate" Conservative government seems to single out vulnerable groups of society and launch baffling attacks on them. We are used to seeing the Tories attack immigrants, single mothers and the unemployed. We all know when we see this start happening that an election must be approaching, but now they appear to have extended their attack to disabled people, mentally disabled people and now those suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer. The Tory attack on disabled people has been going on since day one of this Tory government and has got steadily worse.

The Tories have now come up with something called "Time Limited ESA" you can read all about this here and here. Basically this is something they have dreamt up to take even more benefits away from disabled people because they obviously believe that disabled people are not suffering enough already. Sue Marsh as always makes a compelling case, well written and clearly explained, take a few minutes to read what our "wonderful" Tory government are doing to our most vulnerable people, remembering that we are all just one illness or one accident away from joining the ranks of disabled people. Remember also that this government are doing this to people in your name, while they allow the richest 1% to prosper and go back on their promise to penalise greedy banker's bonuses, bankers, the very people who caused the mess in this country and across the world are all enjoying tax cuts.

Now you would think that the Tories (aided by their new found friends the Liberal Democrats) could not possibly stoop any lower, but hold on, they can, and it seems they find this easy. The Tories latest line of attack is to aim at those people suffering from cancer. If you read what the Tories are trying to do you would be forgiven for wondering just what it is the British Conservatives have against those people suffering from this devastating illness, they seem to be doing everything they possibly can to make their lives even more distressing and hard to cope with, it is pretty unforgivable and I just cannot believe that the Tories will find much support for attacking people in this way.

ESA affects cancer patients too!

The government began informing sick and disabled people that their benefit may stop even BEFORE the bill has been passed in parliament.

19 September 2011
From this week, thousands of letters will begin to land on the doorsteps of those who are too unwell to work - including cancer patients and those with severe mental health problems. This letter will inform them that their vital out-of-work benefit, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), may be stopped in April 2012 because of changes in the Welfare Reform Bill – despite the fact that the Bill is still being debated in Parliament. The Government will spend £2.7m[1] on sending the letters from a contingency fund.
Under current proposals in the Welfare Reform Bill, many cancer patients and people with severe and complex mental health problems will have their ESA removed after one year irrespective of whether they are well enough to return to work. Macmillan Cancer Support estimates 7,000 cancer patients will lose up to £94 a week. In March an alliance of 30 cancer charities, including Macmillan, wrote an open letter to the Government expressing concern about the Bill and opposing ESA time-limiting.
Ciarán Devane, Chief Executive of Macmillan Cancer Support, says:
“Though we understand that the Government should alert people in advance to any changes to their benefits, the Welfare Reform Bill is not even close to being passed and yet the Government is already behaving as if it is. They are laying the groundwork for ESA time-limiting despite many Lords opposing the plans just last week at Second Reading. Lords will no doubt be angry that claimants are being told they could lose their benefits before they have had the opportunity to debate the proposals in detail.
“The letters will cause a great deal of distress to thousands of cancer patients and their families who will be left wondering whether their vital financial support will be taken away or not.  We will continue to urge the Government to think again.”
The mental health charity Mind has found that in many cases the prospect of welfare reform is causing serious mental distress for benefit claimants. Mind’s Chief Executive Paul Farmer says:
“We know that the prospect of changes to benefits can be very stressful for the people who rely on welfare whilst they are too unwell to work, and since the Welfare Reform Bill began its life, our InfoLine has seen a significant increase in the number of people calling, distressed and terrified that their benefits are going to be cut off.
“It doesn’t matter if you receive ESA for depression, cancer or any other health problem, this letter will be a bolt from the blue for many which could have a catastrophic impact on their mental wellbeing.
“It is very alarming that the Government is pressing ahead with these plans without considering the anxiety that their actions will cause, and we worry that these letters could potentially impede claimants’ return to health.”
Macmillan Cancer Support and Mind wants the Bill amended so everyone eligible for ESA who has paid into the system will receive it for as long as they need it. The charities also believe it is unacceptable to make sick and disabled people wait six months to access Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

Now the Tories want to force cancer sufferers who are in the middle of their chemotherapy to attend assessments to see if they are fit to work!
Macmillan Cancer Support has strongly criticised a Department of Work and Pensions decision to propose changes to the benefits system which could have devastating consequences for many thousands of cancer patients. Under the plans being consulted on, seriously ill cancer patients in the middle of gruelling intravenous chemotherapy treatment will be forced to prove they are too sick to work. Some patients will have to face back-to-work interviews or be denied a crucial benefit - Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
This is despite unambiguous recommendations from cancer experts and 30 cancer charities who have clearly stated that patients going through debilitating cancer treatment - and who have to leave work - should be automatically eligible for ESA.
Until now, cancer patients receiving non-oral chemotherapy have been exempt from work-focused interviews and medical assessments to determine whether they may be fit for work, while oral chemotherapy or radiotherapy patients have not been given this protection. Cancer charities, representing the views of patients, have asked the DWP to end this discrepancy as the side-effects of oral chemotherapy and radiotherapy can be just as physically debilitating as non oral chemotherapy. However, instead of extending exemptions to particularly vulnerable cancer patients, the DWP is proposing to remove these from all.
This announcement also comes despite the Government’s repeated assurances that they had no interest in making it harder for cancer patients to access benefits while they are undergoing debilitating treatment[3] and would reverse changes introduced only months ago to extend protection to patients awaiting chemotherapy.
Ciarán Devane, Chief Executive of Macmillan Cancer Support, says:
“Cancer patients in the middle of treatment are, in many cases, fighting for their lives. Yet the Government is proposing to change the rules so all cancer patients will have to undergo a stressful assessment to prove they are unable to work. This shows a clear disregard and misunderstanding of what it’s like to undergo punishing treatment. Patients who previously had peace of mind would face the stress and practical difficulties of getting assessed for work they are too poorly to do.
“To make matters worse, the Government is pressing ahead with proposed changes in the Welfare Reform Bill that will make 7,000 cancer patients lose ESA after 12 months simply because they have not recovered quickly enough.
“We hope Ministers will rethink these proposals and listen to the clear views of the cancer community. Cancer is the toughest fight many people will have to face, the Government should not be making it tougher for them.”
Macmillan has launched a petition to call on the Government to make changes to the Welfare Reform Bill: www.macmillan.org.uk/welfarepetition

Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

The Government is proposing that DLA should be replaced with a new benefit called Personal Independence Payment (PIP). As part of the new benefit the Government wants to double the period that someone is required to demonstrate need before they make a claim for benefit from 3 months to 6 months. However, cancer treatment results in a sudden onset of daily living and/or mobility needs. The need for help with daily living and getting around can start immediately and escalate rapidly. Making cancer patients wait for 6 months before they can even apply for vital support is simply unfair.
Macmillan believes that people who experience a sudden onset of debilitation which is likely to be long-term should be entitled to apply for PIP as soon as their support needs arise.
Just what will it take before people realise what the Conservative and the Liberal Democrat government is doing? Will it take someone in your family to fall seriously ill or become disabled before you realise that what this government are doing is very very wrong?

Cameron the Eurozone and What the World Now Thinks of the UK!

Instead of Cameron going to Europe and doing as much as he can to help the eurozone recover and become strong, which would have been in the best interests of this country, instead, he isolated us for his own narrow political interests and in the interests of the bankers in the City -why? In God's name why did he do this? If the euro collapses we are going to be hit by a financial tsunami and we will not be able to outrun it, the weakened state of this country will ensure we go down. Thanks to Cameron, Osborne and Clegg and their insane austerity measures this country has soaring unemployment, a rising claimant count, zero growth and we are teetering on the brink of recession and we are in no fit state to be able to weather it, which makes what he did even more insane.

26 countries agree only the UK is left out in cold, isolated and we are completely incapable of defending ourselves.

I believe Cameron has done this because his entire government is in hock to lobbyists and the City financiers, hedge funds, venture capitalists etc, Cameron is corrupt, his government is corrupt and the Tory party is riddled with corruption and one can only surmise because Nick Clegg keeps backing him to the hilt that he and the Liberal Democrats are corrupt too. Why else would Clegg and all Lib Dem MPs  betray their entire core principles? I thought they were bad enough for betraying us over the tripling of tuition fees, Educational Maintenance Allowance, welfare and helping the Tories destroy and privatise the NHS, but now they are giving Cameron their blessing to have us isolated in Europe, it's unbelievable, the Liberal Democrats rank hypocrisy is unbelievable, yet they have done this. Everything the Lib Dems once stood for is now burnt up and in ashes.

Cameron and the Conservative party are corrupt to the core, Britain has a corrupt government. Time we kicked them out.

Life In Tory Britain "2017"

Roll forward to the year 2017 - "Health Secretary" Jeremy Clarkson and "Transport Secretary" James May have given the go ahead for trains to carry on without stopping should a suicide occur on the line. Explaining the new policy Clarkson said; "no point in stopping they are dead anyway and we can't make them better".

In other news - long queues have formed at a hospital giving free health care to a small number of people, many poorly people and their relatives have travelled from all over the country to get their sick tended and some have been camping out in sub-zero temperatures for days and nights in order to try and safeguard a place in the queue to get an appointment to be seen by a doctor. When questioned, the Government have said that in retrospect it was short sighted of the Tory government to have forced through former Health secretary, Andrew Lansley's Health and Social care Reform bill in 2011, but that the damage had already been done and the situation is now irreversible and we will have to continue with private health care, quoting TINA, (There Is No Alternative). The government has also introduced a flat rate charge for everyone who wishes to see their GP. Doctors have fought in vain against this but have so far failed in their attempts to get the government to listen to their concerns, many doctors who defy the government and try to see patients without charging risk imprisonment if caught.

More riots about the lack of affordable fresh food and healthcare are expected in all parts of the country as people's health deteriorates and thousands die needlessly because they do not have the funds to purchase food which has quadrupled in price in the last year due to a worldwide shortage. They also do not have money  to purchase expensive health insurance and often life threatening illnesses are being left undiagnosed, or caught to late. Jeremy Clarkson said; "if people can't afford healthcare they should try not to get sick in the first place, this is a problem not of the government's making, but of the making of the individual, people must take responsibility for their own health and that of their families, they should eat healthily there is no excuse for poor nutrition, if they cannot afford fresh food they should go to one of the many food banks now servicing towns across the country where they can buy last week's vegetables at cheaper prices they can make soup to feed their families and use up all scraps". Multi millionaire Clarkson refused to comment about the calls from unions and charities to make out of date food donated by Tory supporting supermarkets tax free. Tax receipts from unearned food for the undeserving poor are currently being used to fund tax cuts for the deserving rich bankers. Unions are powerless to help as they had all their powers taken away in the great union bust of 2012.

The private hospital industry is being hit by a serious lack of trained nurses, midwives, doctors, radiographers and physiotherapists’etc and also by a lack of new consultants coming through. The number of consultants is dropping because the number of doctors training places fell in 2011, this problem is thought to be going increase dramatically in the coming years. The problems with recruitment are as a direct result of the Tory government cutting training places back in 2011 as part of the great failed austerity measures. This problem was also intensified in 2012 when highly trained public sector workers began to leave the former National Health Service; the fire service; the police service; the armed forces and the education service in their droves due to pay freezes, poor pension provisions, and swingeing cuts to public services which made it impossible to do their jobs adequately and safely. Many staff in the private sector as well as the public sector were also sacked under the new laws the government introduced governing human rights, workers’ rights and tribunals, most could not appeal their dismissals because they could not afford the £1000 it costs to start tribunal proceedings and many have been left damaged by the psychological warfare inflicted on workers by bullying bosses and managers. The power to bully workers was given to bosses in 2011, in Chancellor George Osborne's autumn statement, (page 61), which went widely unreported in the former Tory press at that time.
A spokesman for Private hospitals said they are refusing to train their own nurses and doctors etc. and accused the government of reneging on a deal with former Health secretary, Andrew Lansley, to provide taxpayer funded training for nurses, doctors, medical technicians and radiographers etc., who are desperately needed to supply the new PHI (Private Healthcare Industry). Private health companies maintain that if they fund this training themselves profit margins would suffer and taxpayer funded bonuses to shareholders would be unfairly restricted, as not enough profit could be taken out of the former NHS budget. Private hospitals are also unwilling to take on the more complex forms of surgery and procedures such as organ transplants have been seriously affected. It is thought that the UK's health service has been put back at least 40 years.

In another move the government has now made all private medical records available to private healthcare companies, who pay them for the information. The government under pressure from the World Health Organisation are being forced to provide some kind of health cover are piloting a means tested "poor hospital", but this will only provide the most basic of healthcare and will not be available to anyone with any kind of regular work related income.

Since the government abolished state pensions which they class as unaffordable, the elderly are now forced to live on basic benefits. Problems occurred because in 2011 the government forced through the pensions bill which made pensions not worth contributing to, over a million public sector workers stopped paying into pension funds and cashed in their pension plans and spent the proceeds, this added to the million George Osborne sacked who also stopped paying into their pensions created a pension black hole of mammoth proportions. The government now maintains that pensions are unsustainable for everyone.

Unemployment has continued to rise year upon year and now stands at around 6 million. growth has been absent from the economy for the past six years which has pushed the claimant count up and forced up Government borrowing. The deficit which was supposed to be paid off by 2015 has now trebled in size, through lack of growth and the government's political and fiscal incompetence. the government can no longer blame the eurozone since that collapsed in early 2012, followed by the shock disbanding of the EU in 2013. Other European countries who did not adopt the UK chancellor's austerity measures are now reporting growing economies. Most other EU countries still refuse to trade favourably with the UK, since Britain's gaffe prone Prime Minister, David Cameron has badly offended most of Europe and the rest of the world and left the country isolated and having to pay a heavy price for imports. Cameron is looked at as a political and intellectual lightweight. It is thought that if the UK can somehow manage to oust the Tory government that Europe may begin to trade favourably with the UK again. It has proven almost impossible to rid the country of a Conservative government since David Cameron gerrymandered the boundaries and parliament, Cameron also changed electoral law legalising people to fall off the electoral roll. Many people did this to avoid paying the poll tax that the Tories reintroduced in 2014, at the same time as they also abolished the national minimum wage.

Last week the Liberal Democrat party finally disbanded and those that did not join the Tories in 2015 after an electoral wipe out silently slunk away and are now living rough in solitude trying to avoid the wrath of people's anger vented towards them for allowing this to happen and for aiding and abetting the Tory government of 2011 to destroy and dismantle the NHS. Anger at this one act has never subsided.

Due to a serious lack of teachers, many children are now being taught in cramped conditions in class sizes of 80 and above in crumbling not fit for purpose school buildings. Problems occurred with school premises when in 2010 the incoming Tory/coalition  secretary Michael Gove abolished the former Labour government's Building schools for the Future programme, he since took all the new schools built under the labour government and turned them into so called "free schools" and later "free academy's"  for older children and handed the running of them over to the "deserving rich" with time on their hands to run exclusively for their own upper class privileged children, the government believes these children from these backgrounds are far superior to the children of ordinary people. The schools are funded by the taxpayer and  are also made up out of private schools that opted out of the private education system in favour of the taxpayer funded state system, this gave the parents of private school children free private education and the fee are paid for by ordinary citizens taxes. Britain's two tier education system has had a catastrophic effect on numeracy and literacy, education has said to have slipped back to Victorian times. Last week parents groups were overruled by the government protesting at the reintroduction of the cane to all schools, including primary schools.

Child and pensioner poverty has soared and is now evident on almost every street in almost every town and village in the country and hundreds of thousands of families are forced to live in any disused slum or have formed communes in one of the many disused factories on derelict industrial estates, often with no electricity or running water. Homelessness and poverty has been caused by the Conservative government's welfare reform bill, at first people thought this was a good idea but opinions changed when they and their families fell victim to unemployment, sickness and disabilities and began to be caught up in chaos and confusion caused by the Tory government's reforms. Untreated TB, malnutrition and rickets are now reaching epidemic proportions and people are dying in the open on our streets.

The BBC was finally taken over last week, like the NHS and education service before it, it was broken up dismantled and the most lucrative parts cherry picked and sold off to Rupert Murdoch and other Tory financial backers. However, TV became widely unaffordable as people were charged to pay to view and this has somewhat backfired and now many TV news stations and channels like Sky are scaling down, presenters and all TV staff who once backed the Tory government are now losing their jobs because of the Tory government as demand for TV has plummeted. The Tory supporting press are suffering from the same "affliction" as their circulation has dropped off like a stone and since they placed all their online publications behind paywalls advertisers have ceased to advertise as the number of people viewing the papers website has fallen off dramatically. Demand for the internet has fallen sharply as peoples wages have decreased; this has led to mass redundancies in the TV industry.

Since 2011 crime has steadily began to rise along with mass redundancies in the police force. Now in 2017 crime has risen 100% since 2011 and lawlessness, muggings, poverty and disease and poorly educated people now afflicts our shattered communities. The prime minister's "Big Society" is now met with incredulous derision and any politician heard repeating the mantra "we are all in this together" is viewed as placing themselves at great risk of attack from the starving poverty stricken homeless.

Jeremy Clarkson however can still be heard quipping if anyone complains "they should be taken outside and executed in front of their families".

Remember when Teachers, Lecturers, Policemen, Police staff,Ambulance staff, Nurses, Midwives, Doctors and Fireman crashed the stock market, wiped out Banks, took billions in bonuses and paid no tax? No, me neither.

This hideous Government are trying to rule us by chaos and confusion they are trying to divide us and pit us against each other.
Don't let them -  we are stronger united.

Tory MP Michael Gove A "Striking" Hypocrite

Tory MP Education Secretary, Michael Gove On Official NUJ Picket Line
A far cry from Union Bashing  Opinion of the Unions Now!

There are many hypocrites in the Tory cabinet but today the Education Secretary, Michael Gove really excelled himself!

Michael Gove started today by ferociously attacking union strike action, in other words it is "don't do as I do, do as I tell you", his hypocrisy beggars belief!

The above picture shows him on an official picket line where he could be found virtually all of the time and when the usual shop steward who was the strikers spokesman was absent, Gove would step in to become spokesman.

Part of the reason why he was taking industrial action was because; "Management are denying people the chance to be governed by a collective bargaining deal and denying freedom of choice in the workplace."
The government he is a part of is trying to stop workers going to tribunals, forcing them to pay at least £1000 to commence tribunal action and just last week they announced that they were going to make it easier for bosses to sack their workers, leaving workers open to abuse and bullying and totally unable to defend themselves. I wonder if Mr Gove would have considered striking for any of those reasons and whether he and his colleagues would have called them an all out assault on workers rights?

Gove has come under fire for many things this past 19 months, especially when he claimed £7000 to furnish his London home before "flipping" his address, he did pay the money back, but has never admitted wrongdoing, but this is the mark of this Tory cabinet and their little useful idiot friends the orange Tory Liberal Democrats, they are all hypocrites and never accept their actions were responsible for the harm their incompetence is causing the ordinary people in this country, from the prime minister ABC "Anyone But Cameron"!

I support the public service worker strikers.

Cameron £140,000 Land Purchase From Tory Lobbyist & Donor

In July 2011 the Prime Minister David Cameron spent nearly £140,000 buying land neighbouring his Oxfordshire home from a Tory party donor, Lord Chadlington. He is the Chief executive of the powerful Huntsworth group, which runs a number of lobbying firms including Quiller and a close political ally and friend of the prime minister.

Lord Chadlington also known as Peter Gummer is the brother of ex Tory MP now Lord John Gummer (Baron Debden) .Benedict Gummer (32)  is the son of John Gummer and was elected as Conservative MP in May 2010 for Ipswich. "His seat was secured by his father’s wealth, influence and by the support of Kenneth Clarke (Health Minister who allowed BSE infected material into baby food, school meals, and vaccines). Lord Chancellor Kenneth Clarke who is also a member of the Prime Ministers Cabinet travelled to Ipswich and met with wealthy landowners, businessmen during Benedict Gummers electioneering. Many meetings behind closed doors with the help of the ‘old boy network’ helped to secure Ben Gummers seat" (Justice for Andy)
Lord John Gummer is the Chairman of the environmental consultancy company Sancroft International and Chairman of Veolia Water. (No wonder the Tories privatised water!)

Lord John Gummer was one of the worse claimants of parliamentary expenses the former environment secretary, used the parliamentary expenses system to claim more than £9,000 a year for gardening., he also received hundreds of pounds to meet the costs of “treating” moles, removing a jackdaw nests, tackling insect infestations and an annual rodent service” contract, claiming more than £100 a year for the mole treatment alone.

Here are a few examples of how John Gummer earns his  money  "They Work For You".
Valpak is especially interesting and it would be in the public interest to know more details about Valpak’s  interests in the [no 2] Suffolk Incinerator and the Tory-run County Council.

Quiller Consultants is situated next door to the Queen at Buckingham Gate.
Lord Chadlington admitted priming four private equity leaders before they gave evidence to a highly charged Commons inquiry. He  helped senior figures from Permira, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, 3i and Carlyle to prepare for an appearance before the Treasury Select Committee on June 20, 2007.

Lord Chadlington was also a Key backer of Mr Cameron and bankrolled his bid for the Tory leadership and is the chairman of Cameron's Witney constituency association and donated £10,000 towards his run for the Conservative leadership. Since then, he has personally donated more than £60,000 to the party, while his company has donated a further £30,000.

Huntsworth owned Quiller lobbies for among others a private equity firm heavily invested in healthcare and also Capita  which is a huge outsourcing company which is also involved in the NHS and is headed up by George Bridges not only is Bridges an old Etonian friend of David Cameron, he is also an old friend of George Osborne the Tory chancellor.  Quiller is heavily connected to the Conservative Government and is enjoying regular access to top Tories.

This explains still further why the Tories are so adamant that they are going to dismantle the NHS and allow private companies to come in and do what they like with it. With all these Lords closely associated with David Cameron, is it any wonder the NHS bill did not get voted out?

Not for the first time David Cameron's cavalier behaviour and crass political judgement is raising concerns.
Before  George Bridges joined Quiller as a lobbyist he was the Tory party's  former campaigns manager was invited by David Cameron to help run his general election campaign he also used to be employed as the former chief of staff  of Theresa May and was an ex strategist from the department of health, all lobbying for and pushing the agenda of these companies that hire Quiller consultants. He is currently still employed by Quiller Consultants along with other former Tory aides.
Quiller Consultants also employs Stephen Parkinson, who used to prepare David Cameron for Prime Minister’s Questions, and Malcolm Morton, a former adviser to Cabinet Office minister Mark Harper. Quiller co-founder Jonathan Hill is now a junior minister in the Department for Education.
Departmental records show that in the first  10 months of the coalition government Tory ministers regularly held meetings with clients of Quiller Consultants, one Quiller client the BSA which is a lobbying company and lobbies on behalf of the outsourcing industry.
The City of London Corporation, had seven meetings with the Tory financial secretary to the Treasury Mark Hoban also in the first 10-month period.
In the first 8 months of the coalition Migration Watch UK, a right wing pressure group which campaigns for less immigration and produces dubious statistics held two meetings with Home Secretary Theresa May and a further two meetings with immigration minister Damian Green.
In addition, May’s special advisers Fiona Cunningham and Nick Timothy have enjoyed lunch with Quiller".

The Worrying Trend of "Anti-Immigrant Bile" Spewing From the British Conservative Party

Modern Take On an Old Poster campaign
Nothing Has Changed
"Same Old Tories"
It seems that hardly a day passes with a new headline coming from the Tory-led government about immigration and immigrants. Is it a coincidence that ever since the Conservatives somehow managed to get themselves into a position of absolute power (thanks to the Liberal Democrats) that almost daily we see rabid anti immigrants headlines in the right wing press? Is it really true then that "absolute power" really does "corrupt absolutely"?  This trend is especially evident in the more basket case newspapers like Rupert Murdoch's Sun and Times and of course the Daily Mail and Daily Express, however, the Daily Telegraph doesn't appear to have much compunction about joining in either, although they do appear to at least pull some of their punches.

Some of headlines coming from the British Conservative government and these so-called "newspapers" wouldn't look out of place on BNP literature. I loathe to refer to them as newspapers as they carry very little in the way of news, but what they do carry is heavily slanted and stacked statistics against immigrants and nearly always written in such a way as to totally mislead the public. Do these "publications" really carry any weight with normal rational thinking people? Or do normal rational thinking people avoid these so-called "newspapers" like the plague? I would dearly love to believe so, however, a frightening and cursory glance at some of the comments that accompany these " newspaper stories" can be a very sobering experience, they can only be describe as "racially vile", yet the papers concerned allow them to stand and in the case of the Daily Mail their moderators actually vet comments before deeming them fit for publication on their website- shocking!

It seems that every time that the prime minister, David Cameron, gets himself in one of his now infamous scrapes or gaffes and his standing in the polls begins to suffer, he manages to change the subject and starts talking "policy proposals" which nearly always appear to attack immigrants, it is as if he uses "immigrant bashing" as a get out of jail free card. We have long since realised that "attacking immigrants" along with "attacking" single mothers and generally denigrating all those (genuine or not, immigrant or not)  forced to live on state benefits, is a tried and tested "electioneering tool" that the Conservative party uses with impunity at election times, but now it appears they have cranked it up a few notches and use it  as a way to get David Cameron and the Tory party in general out of a "little local difficulty" of their very own making.

This is a very interesting report in the Guardian "Anti-Immigrant Bile On Sale Now At Your Asian Newsagent". Surely we are better than this? Surely we haven't sunk as low as the BNP? Is this really the kind of extreme right wing propaganda that we have come to expect as norm from the Tory government? And more, do we as a nation no longer see this as deeply disturbing and just plain wrong? When did Britain turn into the "nasty" country? When did Britain become desensitised and immune to such dreadful right wing anti-immigrant bias? What an anomaly these headlines are in the right wing press because without the thousands of Asian newsagents and corner shops that sell the Sun, Times, Daily Mail, Daily Express and Telegraph, these newspapers would not have a circulation and so would cease to exist in our shops.

Recently the Home Secretary, Theresa May, was embroiled in a spat with her senior civil servant in charge of Border Force, Brodie Clark, that resulted in Theresa May publicly admonishing Mr Clark in the newspapers and in parliament before the man had a chance to defend himself, he has since resigned and accused May of destroying his reputation and is suing the Home Secretary for constructive dismissal. Mr Clark has also appeared in front of the select committee, where he was shamelessly attacked by Tory MPs trying to get Theresa may off of the hook, the real story behind this will come out when Mr Clark appears before a tribunal.

Take the recent publication about drug seizures, the Tories have heralded their "tightening up" at UK borders for what they described as a doubling of of cases caught at UK borders, when in fact it was the direct opposite and there was a serious decline in the volume of drug seizures. Sir Michael Scholar has demanded the immigration minister, Damian Green, assure him that the advance briefing of partial class A drug seizures figures was not done to generate positive news coverage days ahead of the release of national statistics that showed an actual annual decline in the volume of drug seizures.

"Were it to be the case, the authority's view is that this would be highly corrosive and damaging public confidence in official statistics," Scholar warns Green.
The statistics authority statement says the latest Home Office statistics published on 10 November showed a fall in the volume of seizures of class A drugs in the most recent period.
"This contrasts with the 4 November press release, which highlights a large increase in seizures albeit for a different time period. The 4 November press release, which appears not to have been published on either the Home Office or the UK Border Agency websites, and seems to have been distributed only to a select group of journalists, makes no reference to the forthcoming bulletin," says Sir Michael's statement.

It turns out that the figures that the prime minister and Tory party have been touting were completely untrue and deliberately misleading. This is indicative of the way the Tory party is using distorted figures about highly emotive issues such as drugs and immigration in press releases to deliberately mislead the British public.
A typically misleading headline from the Daily Express screams that "90% of immigrants live in England", however, when you read further you discover that the so-called research has been carried out by an extreme right wing group calling themselves "Migration Watch" who regularly distort and slant statistics to suit their own anti-immigration agenda. Much of the anti-immigration bias in mainstream media originates from right-wing 'think-tanks' like Migration Watch and their blatant misuse of statistics.

So the initial headline that "90% of net migration live in England" may be correct  but this is probably because this is where the work is and broken down we see that while an estimated 572,000 people entered the UK on a long-term basis in the year to June 2010, 346,000 emigrated. So the 90% figure touted by Migration Watch and the Daily Express is just a sensationalist headline. 572.000 minus 346,000 leaves a total net figure of 226.000 and 90% of that figure spread over England really is not that much. certainly not as alarming as the Daily Express headline has made it appear!

In August 2010 7 HMRC employees were sacked for racial abuse and for deliberately underpaying ethnic minority claimants. It followed an internal investigation into nine men based at the HM Revenue and Customs call centre in Belfast..The allegations of racially-motivated gross misconduct were investigated last January when a complaint was lodged by somebody who said that their records had been changed.
However when the Daily mail covered the story, it was covered in such a way as to invoke outrage against the ethnic minority claimants rather than the seven employees sacked for racial abuse! At the time the BBC gave no further details about the victims other than that they lived in the UK and had now been fully reimbursed. No further details existed on the HMRC news site either, however the Daily Mail have added a detail that does not seem to exist elsewhere and was seen in their article title: Racist taxmen who deliberately under-paid child benefits to non-nationals are sacked‘. This title implies that the claimants were actually 'non nationals'  which infers to the Daily Mail reader that these people should not be claiming anyway. This diverts the reader's attention *away* from the fact that this was deliberate serious and fraudulent systematic racial abuse and subliminally concentrates their minds why we should not be paying benefits to "non-nationals, and further the daily Mail provides absolutely no proof that these people were non-nationals. This is yet another complete non-story and red herring designed solely to stoke up anti-immigrant tensions and completely distorts what was originally a very serious racially motivated crime.

So what has all of this got to do with David Cameron, George Osborne, Nick Clegg and the Conservative party?  Since the coming of the coalition government David Cameron, George Osborne and Nick Clegg have managed to make politics even more dispiriting than most people already believe and their reliance on "immigrant bashing" and "welfare recipient bashing" and persistently painting an untrue and negative image of our country and our economy just to further their own right wing ideology and political fortunes has not only been harmful to race relations, it has actually greatly affected the UK economy, which in turn affects each and everyone of us. This Tory-led government and in particular the British Prime Minister, David Cameron are playing deadly and dangerous mind games with the British public.

David Cameron was Responsible For This Tory
2005 Election Poster
Cast your minds back to the 2005 general election when Michael Howard was Tory leader, David Cameron was responsible for the morally bereft and repugnant slogans on a series of posters " Are You Thinking What We're Thinking"?  It then plays what the Tories believe to be the "racially safe card" and adds "It's not racist to impose limits on immigration" Only anyone that is honest knows fully well that the Tories are playing to base instincts over immigration. Back in 2005 staff and students of a multicultural sixth form college in inner London complained about the Tory anti-immigration election poster  within a day someone had taken matters into their own hands and painted out the word "not" from the poster, people were visibly upset by the Conservatives who placed that poster there in Islington on purpose - that was David Cameron's doing.

Tory "Racism" Throughout The Years!

In 2010 - David Cameron was hit by a Tory race row amid claims that up to 100 activists have signed a petition demanding the deselection of one of his leading black candidates.

"Tory Race Row Over Petition to Ditch Black Candidate"

In Novemeber 2007 - David Cameron was drawn into a row over race after a candidate in a high-profile Parliamentary seat praised Enoch Powell for his notorious 'rivers of blood' speech, which warned that Britain was 'literally mad' to allow widespread immigration

In July 2008 - The Conservative party was dragged into a fresh race row last night after a frontbench peer made a controversial comment during a House of Lords debate.

Lord Dixon-Smith, the Tory spokesman for communities and local government, referred to a problem with a new government housing agency as the 'nigger in the woodpile'.

In March 2010 -A black businessman who accused the Conservative Party in Birmingham of racial discrimination will get the chance to put his claims to a judge.

Judge Will Hear Tory Race Row Allegations

I could go on and on the internet is crammed full of Tory rows over race, it appears they are still very much the Nasty Party that Theresa May painted them as all those years ago.

If Cameron senses he is losing ground he gives himself and his "nasty racist party" a quick right-wing populist fix. In February 2010 just weeks before the general election was called, David Cameron's Tories were accused of resorting to Dog whistle politics  after the Conservative leader appeared on the front of flyers saying the floodgates had been opened to mass immigration. Critics blasted the Tory flyers as alarmist and misleading because they imply limits could be imposed on entrants from EU countries such as Poland and they cannot. caps can only be imposed on NON EU immigration.
The Tory party were forced to distance itself from the hard-hitting material, which was put out under the name of Cameron's home affairs spokesman, Andrew Rosindell. It appears that Cameron hasn't stopped fanning the flames of racism be cause he is still indulging in "dog whistle politics"and is not averse to generally playing the race card when it suits him.

For me the behaviour of David Cameron and his Tories holds the most vile unpleasant racist undertones, reminiscent of the 1964 inner city of Birmingham, Smethwick campaign, which ran posters of "If you want a nigger for a neighbour, vote Labour" and where one of the racist orchestrator's who thought up that vile slogan and ran that hideous racist campaign remained a Tory councillor right up until the late 1980's. if the Tories were ever serious about purging their party of racism, then they would sack anyone found guilty of promoting it.

 Careless talks Sparks Riots!

How long will it be before David Cameron and his Tory cronies manage to conjure up a full scale race riot in this country? We have already have riots sparked last summer by disaffected youth, people who Cameron constantly talks down to, people who he blames for the riots when the vast majority are good, decent, honest people. Yet again this was David Cameron diverting attention away from the fact that his impaired judgement prevented him from returning from his holiday, only coming home after images of lawlessness and riots and burning buildings were beamed across the world and attempting to place blame anywhere and on anyone rather than himself.
Cameron, Osborne and the useful idiot Clegg are playing a deadly game of setting immigrants against indigenous population, private sector against public sector, disabled against able bodied people, workers against the unemployed, single parent families against couples with families, childless people against people with children, young against old, black against white, Muslims against non Muslims, it just goes on and on, this is the deeply offensive Tory government we have in power today who are driving a wrecking ball through our economy, NHS, welfare, police and defence and when they make a mess they never accept responsibility, they simply turn around and bizarrely blame the Labour party or anyone else like the former head of Border Force, Brodie Clark, or divert attention with misleading talk about how "tough they are going to be on immigration".

What the Tories are doing is plumbing the depths of desperation and right-wing idealism which exposes how deep rooted the problem of racism still is in the Conservative party and David Cameron is no exception, only now he has added a whole host of other issues into his armoury The Tory party has not improved, it has just got better at hiding its "institutionalised racism" and for that it is even nastier than ever.
